[[Wikipedia:Template|Templates]] are an administrative feature that generally duplicate the same content across more than one page while helping reduce [[Help:Wiki markup|wikitext]] and  [[Help:HTML in wikitext|HTML markup]]. Changes to a template will immediately propagate to the pages that use it. Common uses include to display [[Help:MediaWiki namespace|administrative notices]], [[Help:Infobox|infoboxes]], [[WP:Navbox|navigational boxes]], standard warnings, special text formatting, unit conversions, calculations and many other purposes. The most common method of inclusion is called [[Wikipedia:Transclusion|transclusion]], where the wikitext of the target page contains a reference to the template, using the <code><nowiki>{{Template&nbsp;name}}</nowiki></code> syntax.

Pages in this namespace will always have the prefix <code>Template:</code> and alias <code>T:</code>.  The Template namespace number is ten (10).
