From dialectal gjidhë, from Lua error in Module:etymology at line 170: Albanian (sq) is not set as an ancestor of Proto-Albanian (sqj-pro) in Module:languages/data/exceptional. The ancestor of Proto-Albanian is Proto-Indo-European (ine-pro). *semdza, from Lua error in Module:etymology at line 170: Albanian (sq) is not set as an ancestor of Proto-Indo-European (ine-pro) in Module:languages/data/exceptional. Proto-Indo-European (ine-pro) has no ancestors. *sem-ǵʰo- (compare Old Armenian եզ (ez), Latin singulus). The dialectal gji derives from Lua error in Module:etymology at line 170: Albanian (sq) is not set as an ancestor of Proto-Indo-European (ine-pro) in Module:languages/data/exceptional. Proto-Indo-European (ine-pro) has no ancestors. *sem-, also attested alone with the same meaning.[1]
