The Amazing Adventures Of Spider-Man is a live action television series that is based on the Spider-Man comics. It aired from 2010 to 2013 on The Youtube Network. It starred Davin Atkinson as Spider-Man, Ryan Desnoyer as Eddie Brock, and Dustin Desnoyer as J. Jonah Jameson.

The show features Peter Parker as a 20 year old who has moved out from his Aunt May's house into his own apartment. He works as a freelance photographer at the Daily Bugle, who hires Peter to take photos of the infamous Spider-Man as he fights his many popular enemies, including The Green Goblin, Venom, Electro, The Shocker, The Chameleon, and The Kingpin. Half-way through the series, Mary Jane Watson (who is potrayed in the series as an african-american), who Peter has been dating for sometime, moves in with Peter. The entire show was shot in Edmonton, Alberta.

The show was cancelled at episode 30, the 3rd season finale. 65 episodes spread across 6 seasons were originally planned. If the show were to continue, there would be introductions to characters like Carnage and Scarlet Spider. Scarlet Spider would become Spider-Man for the whole 5th season, while Peter would take a break from the webs. After Peter would return, Ben Reilly would resume being Scarlet Spider rather than dying.

Development

Originally, Atkinson was to direct the show with a different actor playing Spider-Man. However, FOX, a sponsor of the show, told the producers to make "a live-action version of the animated series" that aired on their Fox Kids programming block. The idea of having real guns with real bullets was dropped in favor of laser-guns. Atkinson, who always wanted to potray Spidey, took over the role due to his masculine body structure, which is simalar to Spider-Man's in TAS. Atkinson decided the show would feature Peter Parker as he was in the mid 1990s, being in his 20's and living in an apartment with Mary Jane. Atkinson grew out his hair and beard so he could look simalar to the way Peter Parker looked in that era. For the entire second season, he wears the black costume.

Overview

Peter Parker lives in an apartment with his roomate Harry Osbourne, and takes pictures of Spider-Man for a living. Peter is dating Mary Jane Watson. He fights many of his famous enemies featured in the comics. The show, although being an action-drama much like Spider-Man: TAS, features a much more mature approach, much like the comics.

Seasons

In Season 1, a 20 year old Peter Parker starts dating Mary Jane Watson, while he lives in his apartment with his roommate Harry Osbourne. He fights villians like The Green Goblin, The Shocker, Rocket Racer, The Kingpin, Kraven The Hunter, Mysterio, Electro and The Chameleon. By the season finale, he's wearing the symbiote.

In Season 2, Harry and Peter keep breaking into arguments from Harry's drug addiction, and Peter's symbiote that fills him with anger. Peter kicks Harry out and Mary Jane moves in. Meanwhile, The Kingpin is making up a plan to blow up the empire state building. The season featured the return of Shocker, Green Goblin, Kraven The Hunter and Kingpin, while new villians like Venom and The Demogoblin make their first appearence.

In 'Season 3, Spider-Man frequently teams up with X-Men members like Wolverine and Cyclops to put a stop to the Mutant Regestration Act. Villians like Venom, Demogoblin, Electro, The Chameleon and Rocket Racer return while new villians like Juggernaut and Rhino make their first appearence.
