.rs is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Republic of Serbia. Following the decision on 26 September 2006 by the ISO 3166 Maintenance Agency to allocate RS as the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code for Serbia IANA assigned .rs as ccTLD for this country. This decision followed the June 2006 split of Serbia and Montenegro into two separate countries. Along with the Montenegrin ME, RS replaces the codes YU which is used by the former Serbia and Montenegro.
