The elusive Luc Bernier. While it is only a silhouette, the picture encompasses his continuing desire to showcase the students and their involvement in the productions he heads, rather than the involvement of teachers, including himself. Moreover, the picture furthers the mysticism of "Who is the great Luc Bernier?...

Étienne-Brûlé has been credited for its numerous French plays across the province of Ontario, directed by Luc Bernier, who also founded "Le Théâtre d'Étienne-Brûlé". Two of its former student actors have even ended up in the National Theatre School of Canada, which accepts merely 12 per year, out of hundreds of applicants. In April 2008, the theater troupe did a presentation of "Jeune femme cherche homme désespérément", which received 3000 spectators in total throughout the week of presentation. The play was written by renowned Quebec writer Carole Tremblay. Earlier this year, they presented a show featuring five plays by Félix Leclerc in "Le P'tit Bonheur". "Docteur Malgré Lui", the school theatre's latest play, was presented to the general public on the 24th and 25th of April 2009, and was attended by Ontario Minister of Education Kathleen Wynne. It marked Le Théâtre d'Étienne-Brûlé's 15th anniversary, and received great reviews from critics in francophone Toronto newspapers L'Express and Le Métropolitain.
