Alexandros Katranis (Greek: Αλέξανδρος Κατράνης; born 4 May 1998) is a Greek football player who plays for Ligue 1 club AS Saint-Étienne.

Club career

He made his professional debut in the Superleague Greece for Atromitos on 25 September 2016 in a game against Asteras Tripoli. According to "footballscout24.it" website, U.C. Sampdoria are still interested in purchasing talented left defender of Atromitos, Alexandros Katranis. The Italian club had submitted an official transfer bid for the 19-year-old international in January, which was rejected, but they will return with an improved one in the summer transfer window of 2017, hoping to secure his capture.

On 3 August 2017, the administration of Atromitos decided to reject the first transfer offer levelled to €600.000 from AS Saint-Étienne, about the sale of talented Greek defender. The French club will most likely return with an improved bid for the purchase of 19-year-old left defender (17 performances at Super League during 2016-17), whose current contract expires in the summer of 2020. Eventually three days later, 'Verts' new coach Óscar García choice has fulfilled, as the French club increased its offer to €800.000 (plus a 15% resale rate) and the deal will be clinched. On 7 August the player will pass the medical examinations in order to sign a five years' contract.
