Animal Face-Off is a television program that aired on Discovery Channel.

This program centers on a hypothetical battle between two animals that could possibly meet in the wild, or in some cases, have been compared to each other by scientists. CGI replicas and models were used to collect data (such as strength, bite force, etc.) about the animals. Then, in a virtual arena, a brief computer-animated fight scene reveals the results. Since this was done artificially, results may vary. Each episode of Animal Face-Off is 1 hour long, with the exception of the 12th episode, which is 2 hours long (including commercials).

1	Great white shark vs. Saltwater crocodile	Northern Australian Coast	The shark is looking for food. It bumps the crocodile to see if it is prey. It then tries to attack, but the crocodile fights back. It bites the tail, but can't get a good grip and barely causes any injury. The shark escapes and comes back for a full-on assault, but the croc strikes first by biting off the shark's pectoral fin by seizing the fin and then doing a death roll. Despite the bad injury, the shark is still fast and strong. Then both animals speed toward each other with their jaws clashed. The crocodile attempts a death roll, and both combatants sink. Running out of air, the crocodile breaks off the attack and heads to the surface to breathe, which allows the shark to return and bite the croc's belly, ending the fight.	Great white shark
2	African elephant vs. White rhinoceros	African Plains	The rhino charges at the elephant, but the elephant avoids the attack. The rhino tries to reach the elephant's throat, but it is too high. Then, the elephant stabs the rhino twice (breaking a tusk in the process), topples it over, and crushes it under its weight.	Elephant
3	Asiatic lion vs. Bengal tiger	India	The lion tackles the tiger with a surprise charge. The tiger tries to bite the lion's throat, but the lion shakes off the attack. The big cats fight each other fiercely, but neither can lay a killer blow. The tiger tries to end the fight with a neck bite, but the lion's mane deflects his aim. The lion then kills the tiger by biting it's neck.	Lion
4	Hippopotamus vs. Bull shark	Zambia River	The hippopotamus has a wound, and the smell of blood attracts the bull shark. The stomach and leg are too thick for the shark to bite, but the shark rips the hippo's tail off, but it only makes the hippo angry. As the shark comes in for its next attack, the hippo catches it in it's gigantic mouth and crunches down on the shark's head, ending the fight.	Hippopotamus
5	Cougar vs. Gray wolf	Rocky Mountains	The wolf bites the cougar's leg, but backs off when threatened by the cougar's claws. The wolf tries to sink it's teeth into the cougar's throat. Strangely, the cougar kicks the wolf with it's back legs, killing it, and wins. But it is a shallow victory, as the rest of the wolf pack howls in the distance, forcing it to retreat.	Cougar
6	Walrus vs. Polar bear	Arctic	The bear tries to bite and scratch the walrus, but the walrus's skin is too thick. As the walrus flees, the polar bear gets dragged into the water, and the walrus gores the bear with its tusks. The bear attempts to flee, but the walrus kills the bear by driving its tusks into the carnivore's back ending the battle.	Pacific Walrus
7	Brown bear vs. Siberian tiger	Russia	The bear attempts to steal the tiger's kill, not fight the tiger. The tiger then attacks the bear, but the bear is able to deflect each strike. The tiger tries to bite the bear's throat, but fails multiple times. Then, the tiger jumps up on the bear from behind and latches on with its claws. The bear finishes the fight with a counterattack, hitting the tiger on the head, and then breaking the tiger's back. While the tiger is paralyzed, the bear delivers a crushing bite to the neck, killing it.	Brown bear
8	Nile crocodile vs. African lion	Africa	The lion has sharp teeth and claws, but can't pierce the crocodile's thick armor. The lion tries one attack after another, but the crocodile's fearsome jaws force him to fall back after each attempt. Then, the crocodile goes back into the water. The lion waits at the water's edge, wondering where the crocodile went. The croc erupts out to clamp onto the cat's head and neck, then drags it back to the water. Once underwater, the lion drowns and the crocodile wins.	Crocodile
9	Green anaconda vs. Jaguar	Amazon River	The anaconda strikes rapidly from beneath the water, wrapping itself around the jaguar and clamping its jaws over its head. Both mammal and reptile sink underwater. The big cat gets away by biting the snake's tail. The reptile attempts to flee, but the jaguar fishes the snake out of the water. Then, the anaconda makes a sudden counterattack, coiling around the big cat and grabbing it by the head again. This time, the big snake succeeds in pulling the warm-blooded into the water and drowning it.	Anaconda
10	Mountain gorilla vs. African Leopard	Congo	The gorilla tries to avoid a fight, but the leopard won't back off. The leopard's night vision and stealth give it the upper-hand, but the gorilla wrestles the cat off and bites it on the shoulder. When the final lunge comes, the gorilla delivers a fatal blow by breaking the leopard's spine with its arm.	Gorilla
11	American black bear vs. American alligator	Everglades National Park	The alligator bites the bear's leg, leaving a wound. However, it only bites the bear's fur, fat, and muscle. The bear fights back. The gator tries to do a tail swipe, but the bear dodges it. Running out of energy, the alligator tried to retreat into the water, but the bear stops it. It rolls over and the bear scratches deep into the gator's belly, ending the fight.	Black bear
12	Sperm whale vs. Giant squid	Southern Antarctica Bay	The whale stuns the squid with a burst of sound, but the squid dodges the whale's bite. The squid then attacks the whale with its sharp beak and serrated tentacle suckers, but the whale gets them off, and it stuns the squid with another burst of sound, and bites down with its teeth and eats it. Cancellation

The show was canceled after one season because several episodes, especially the crocodile vs. shark (the bloodiest battle), were very graphic.
