Boghuma Kabisen Titanji, clinically trained in Cameroon, received her MSc in Tropical Medicine and International Health from the University of London and a MPhil/PhD from the University College London in 2014[2]. Dr Titanji's work focuses on the mechanisms of HIV transmission and antiretroviral drug resistance. In May 2012, she gave a TED Talk on the ethics of medical research in Africa[3].
Recognition and Awards
- 2012 Dr Titanji was awarded a Commonwealth Scholarship[4]
- 2014: Dr Titanji was made it on to British Broadcasting Corporation's list of the "100 Women Changing the World" in 2014 for her work on the advancement of ethically sound research
