Both countries are full members of the [[Council of Europe]], the [[Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe|Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE)]] and the [[Central European Free Trade Agreement|Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA)]]. Also both countries are recognized as potential candidate countries by the [[European Union]].
