In 1987 Busy producer Brad Krevoy and longtime business partner Steve Stabler co-founded the Motion Picture Corporation of America (MPCA), one of the largest suppliers of inexpensive but high-quality films in the industry. He later co-established Concorde Pictures with Roger Corman and then served as the company's president.

Mr. Krevoy's moderately-budgeted 1994 production Threesome, starring Stephen Baldwin and Lara Flynn Boyle, remains one of the most profitable independent films to this day.
