Cristian José Mena (born December 21, 2002) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Mena signed with the Chicago White Sox as an international free agent in July 2019.[1] He did not pitch for a team in 2020 due to the Minor League Baseball season being cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. He made his professional debut in 2021 with the Arizona Complex League White Sox.
Mena started 2022 with the Kannapolis Intimidators before being promoted to the Winston-Salem Dash and Birmingham Barons.[2][3] On November 14, 2023, the White Sox added Mena to their 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 draft.
The White Sox traded Mena to the Arizona Diamondbacks on February 3, 2024, in exchange for Dominic Fletcher.[4] He was optioned to the Triple–A Reno Aces to begin the 2024 season.[5]
