Cristian Tănase (born February 18 1987 in Piteşti[1]) is a Romanian football player. On 06 August 2009 he signed a 5 year contract with Steaua Bucureşti for a transfer fee of 1,8 milion euros. FC Arges will be receiving also 50% of a future transfer fee.

Career

Tănase began his career on youthside for Argeş Piteşti and was in summer 2003 promoted to the Liga I team, he played than in the season 2005/2006 a half year five games for CS Dacia Mioveni on loan[2].

Position

He is an variable Midfielder, he played in the left midfield, as right midfielder or in the offensive midfield.

International Career

Tănase played his debut for the Romania national football team in a friendly game on 19 November 2008 against Georgia.[3]
