Daniel J. Burke (born December 17, 1951) is a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 1st District since 1991. Burke's district includes City of Chicago community areas of Archer Heights, Chicago Lawn, Gage Park, Garfield Ridge, South Lawndale, West Elsdon, and West Lawn. Burke was defeated for the Democratic nomination in 2018 primary by Aaron Ortiz. Daniel Burke is the brother of Chicago Alderman Ed Burke.
