Trifunovic was previously a diplomat 2001, (First Secretary) in the Foreign Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina at UN, 2003, Adviser to the State Secretary for War Crimes of [[Republika Srpska]] for Terrorism and Violence and in 2005 Adviser to the Minister of Police of the Republika Srpska.

Darko Trifunovic, MSL, PhD. is a lawyer based in Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro and working as lecturer at the Faculty of Security Studies-University of Belgrade.[1] He is specialist in Terrorism and Security Studies, and was the author of several books and studies, published by the Documentation Center of the Government of Republika Srpska's Bureau for Relations with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
