Dragon Ball Kai (ドラゴンボール改, Doragon Bōru Kai) This is the new of the original Dragon Ball anime based on the manga made by Akira Toriyama. Instead of having over 200 episodes that include filler, the show is going to be cut in nearly half to about 100 episodes. They are going to completely re-record the audio with the voice actors of the original Japanese show excluding the ones who have passed away. These include Tenshinhan voiced by Hirotaka Suzuoki and Kame Sennin voiced by Kôhei Miyauchi. The openings, endings, and sound effects will also be redone. Dragon Ball Kai will be displayed in native widescreen 16:9 format and not the widescreen remaster that Funimation did with the Dragon Ball Z DVDs.
