Oyekunle Opeyemi Oluwaremi (born 18 October 1988) is a Nigerian actor, who is best known for his roles in Falling, Family Forever , Tinsel.[1] and Anikulapo.[2] He came to prominence after winning the 7th edition of Gulder Ultimate Search in 2010.[3] He is a graduate of the New York Film Academy.[4]
Early life and education
Kunle Remi studied acting at the New York Film Academy, Los Angeles, and graduated in 2014. This was followed by a stint learning film making and direction from the same academy and graduating in 2015. Remi is a Christian.[5]
Career
Acting
Remi started acting professionally in 2011, after winning Gulder Ultimate Search in 2010. His first major role was in Heavy Beauty, produced by Grace Edwin Okon and directed by Stanlee Ohikhuare. Later, he starred in several films, TV series, and stage plays, including Family Forever,[6] Tinsel,[7] Lagos Cougars Reloaded,[8] The Getaway,[9] Falling,[10] and Africa Magic's Forbidden.[11] He has been featured in a number of Africa Magic Original Films.
TV hosting
While studying at the New York Film Academy, Remi worked as a TV host for an Internet TV channel, Celebville 360. His first appearance was reporting live at the Academy Awards nomination event in Beverly Hills, California.[12] In 2021, he became the co-host (taskmaster) of Gulder Ultimate Search.[13]
Modelling
Remi began his modelling career with ISIS models. He has since featured in ad campaigns for brands such as Airtel, MTN Nigeria, DStv, and Diamond Bank.
