==Beef scandal==
Following her interview on GMTV, television executive Liam Holdsworth claimed "the badger stinks", refering to Ruth's personal odour. This claim has been backed up repeatedly on television forums such as [[Production Base]]. When asked for comment on this, Ruth replied "I don't know where these cruel accusations come from. I don't smell of beef. That's ridiculous."

Despite Ruth's protests, Sky Television presenter Eamonn Holmes, in an interview with Channel 4 presenter Alan Carr said "She does smell of beef. I've met her. It was excruciating the stench of meat. I've never smelt anything like it. I also find her bullish."

Ruth Badger (born 1978 in Wolverhampton) is a British business woman. She was educated at Wodensfield Primary School in Wednesfield[1] and then at Our Lady & St Chad RC leaving in 1995 with 3 GCSEs. She then worked at her local Jobcentre, moving on to become a civil servant. During this period she worked as a barmaid at several pubs in Wolverhampton and as a Steward at Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club. After several years as a civil servant, she started working in the finance industry, earning her awards as top employee with one company before becoming a Sales Manager at a company near Manchester. Badger was the runner-up in the second series of the UK version of The Apprentice; Sir Alan Sugar hired Michelle Dewberry instead of her[2].

Badger has since set up her own consultancy firm, Ruth Badger Consultancy Ltd[3], and has appeared on The Big Idea on Sky One[4].

The Apprentice

Prior to appearing on The Apprentice, Ruth Badger worked as a senior management executive. She is a lesbian and has divorced her husband[5] who sold his story to the tabloids, revealing that Ruth had been in relationships with two other women while they were still together.[6] Ruth was brought back to the boardroom in weeks 5, 7, 9 and 10 of the programme. This page appears to be highly scrutinised by her production company, because any negative references to her new programme get removed within days.

National Television Award nomination

Ruth Badger was nominated for a National Television Award, for which she competed against fellow The Apprentice candidate Syed Ahmed and Big Brother housemate Nikki Grahame, amongst others. Badger failed to make it through to the second stage of online voting and the award was eventually won by Nikki[7]. Ruth has appeared on episodes of Big Brother's Little Brother[8] and 8 Out Of 10 Cats[9].

The Big Idea

Badger featured on The Big Idea — a television show developed in the UK by Grand Central, produced by Ricochet for Vodafone, and broadcast on Sky One from October 2006. The Big Idea gave "budding entrepreneurs" the chance to show off their inventions to the nation. Viewers and a studio audience eventually decided on an idea, and the winner was given £100,000 in investment to build and market their idea. Some inventions that appeared on the show included a 4x4 razor, a device for teaching children to brush their teeth (previously appearing on the BBC's Dragons Den), a plug removal system and a vending machine comb hair straightener.

The winner of the contest was Julian Peck with the Cyclaire, a hand powered air-pump. A profit share was assigned to the two members of the public who voted[citation needed].

Badger or Bust

Ruth currently stars in her own show on Sky One that started on May 8 2007. In this show Ruth uses her "expertise" to help failing business.
