Rouwaida is the daughter of Haydar and Najida Attieh. Her father was brought up in [[Tripoli, Lebanon]], where he studied and graduated from High School. Then, he moved to Egypt to specialize in law and there he met Najida. The couple married and came back to Lebanon, where Najida was introduced to Laila Baroudi and they became best friends, Laila had a girl called "Obayda" whom Najida always described as "so beautiful" and decided to call her first new born baby girl "Obayda".

On the 28th of April, 2004 she released her first album "Min Nazra" which was stunning and then she released a video clip for "te3bt ma3ak" song which also was a great success. In this clip Rouwaida proved that besides her great voice she's also a great actress and naturally gifted.

Since Super Star she has participated in many concerts and festivals in Syria such as "2al3it el7osn","mashta el7elo"….. She also had charitable concerts to entertain and enjoy the elderly.

In 2004 she received the award of the "best rising singer" from Tunisia and won the title of the "best Arab singer" for two years in a raw 2004-2005. In 2005 she put her final touches on her album "Khisamak Mur" which was a hit. In 2007 she released another hit “ Ma Tmalekny Eldny.

2008 was a prosperous year for Rouwaida,she released “Hayati Melki” & “Ana Andi Lezzi”,”Zourou Souria” & “Ya Tunis Alli El rayih” they all had a great success & Rouwaida had a great comeback to stardom. She had many concerts in Dubai, Algeria, Qatar, Syria, Lebanon and Tunisia. She had a duet with the great Lebanese singer [[Wadih El Safi]] “Hayda Lebnen” contributed to the Lebanese. Another duet was with Assi Hellani "Sahra Alshark" in 2008.

In 2009, she released her latest album [[Esma'ani]], which includes the songs Bala hob and Shu sahl el haki.
