STAR World is an English language television channel in some parts of Asia. It is one of the channels of the STAR TV network.
It is aired in Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Israel, the rest of the Middle East, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. It is also aired on many United States military cable systems in Japan.
In Hong Kong, STAR World will be available exclusively on NOW Broadband TV (owned by PCCW) in Hong Kong, starting in February 2006.
The channel airs many popular entertainment programs from the United States, such as American Idol, Desperate Housewives, The Simpsons, North Shore, The King of Queens, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Angel--and the United Kingdom as well, with shows like Parkinson, Absolutely Fabulous, The Robinsons, Nighty Night, The Office, and Human Remains.
