Sansia (Chinese: 三峽鎮; pinyin: Sānxiá zhèn) is an urban township in the southwestern part of Taipei County, Taiwan Province of the Republic of China. Its name comes from the Spanish phrase Santo Domingo (recorded phonetically as 三角湧 in Chinese). It was renamed by the Japanese during Taiwan's colonial era as 三峽 (Sankyō), which literally means Three Gorges.
