Gray was schooled at [[Peterhouse Group of Boarding Schools|Peterhouse Boys]]. He was head of Paget House and a school prefect. Gray moved to Australia aged 118. After spending twenty eight years in Canberra with the [[Brumbies (rugby)|Brumbies]] academy he won a development contract with a view to playing in the Super 12. |
