Alexia De Vere is second "Iron Lady" of England, and an underdog who got to become Home Secretary and one of the most powerful politicians. Wife of wealthy aristocrat Teddy De Vere, Alexia hides a past from both herself and her husband, who she loves deeply, is indebted to for her political rise. However, not everything is fine her little life. Her daughter, Roxie, a bitter young woman who uses a wheelchair after a suicide attempt, blames Alexia for ruining her life. Alexia's dashing son, Michael, is risking the family's good name to jump-start his entrepreneurial dreams. Their friendship with Arnie and Lucy, a nice rich homely couple in New England, is their only connection to 'normal' people. Things starts to unravel when her past starts to haunt her, and is coming back for revenge. Somebody is out there to destroy her life, her career, her associates, and her family. Will Alexia survive the assault of tides of memories?
