SPACE ONE CO., LTD. (Japanese: スペースワン株式会社), or Space One, is a Japanese private spaceflight company aiming to develop and eventually operate a launch vehicle for small satellites. Founded by investments from Canon Electronics, IHI Aerospace, Shimizu Corporation and the Development Bank of Japan in July 2018,[1] it is an orbital launch service provider company developing and planning to operate the KAIROS orbital launch vehicle for small satellite launches from March 2024.[2]

Launch site

The company has constructed a launch site for KAIROS, named Space Port Kii, in Kushimoto, Wakayama, Japan between 2019 and 2021. The launch site provides access to various orbit inclinations.[3]
