Early discussion
This article reads like promotional material. -- aluxeterna 17:44, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
- Who is CB Richard Ellis? Is it one man? A group of individuals? Anyone know? -Mongrel 16:16, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- It's a corporation, as the article currently states. Qqqqqq 07:35, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
What does the CB stand for? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.162.128.182 (talk) 23:37, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
CB currently doesn't stand for anything. However, it's origin does come from the founders of the old company Coldwell Banker Commercial (founders were Colbert Coldwell and Arthurt Banker) started bank in 1906 in San Francisco. There actually is a residential brokerage company in existence coming from the same routes called Coldwell Banker (origins are the same men). However, Coldwell Banker real estate and CB Ricard Ellis are not legally or corporately related in any way shape or form.
Competitors
Is there a rationale behind the second listing competitors? McDonald's, for example, doesn't list Burger King and Wendy's. I'm going to remove that section unless there are objections. justinfr (talk) 18:01, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
This article reads like an advertisement. The accolades section should be removed. -- Thatguydd —Preceding undated comment added 15:42, 12 March 2009 (UTC).
Fixing arrow
The green and upward arrow was used in a wrong way. This should be used to indicate an increase/decrease from previous year. Please refer to pages such as Goldman Sachs or Morgan Stanley for more information.
Attribution
Text and/or other creative content from Coldwell Banker was copied or moved into CB Richard Ellis with this edit. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists. |

advertisement
the article does appear to me to be like it's flagged, an advertisement.Woods01 (talk) 20:45, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Links issue
The "Mapping" link goes to a page prominently marked as for employees only, any reason not to remove it?Uberhill 20:44, 24 October 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Uberhill (talk • contribs)

No consensus to move. Vegaswikian (talk) 23:27, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
CB Richard Ellis → CBRE Group – The company officially changed its name last week -- http://www.cbre.com/EN/AboutUs/MediaCentre/2011/Pages/100311.aspx -- from CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc., to CBRE Group, Inc. As such, the Wikipedia page name needs to be changed to CBRE Group, Inc. Larry Koestler (talk) 15:35, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
- I fixed the name from NewName to CBRE Group in your request. Generally the "inc" is left off. However, Wikipedia articles reflect the common name of a group, so it's probably worth waiting to see what the media refers to CBRE as. tedder (talk) 16:18, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the quick response. The page -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CB_Richard_Ellis -- still has "CB Richard Ellis" as its title. Is it possible to change the title to "CBRE Group, Inc." and redirect the page to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CBRE_Group? Many Thanks Larry Koestler (talk) 21:12, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
- I just changed the "requested move" form. My argument is that it should stay at CB Richard Ellis for at least a while to see what the media does. Again, see WP:NCCN. tedder (talk) 22:32, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
