A note

I moved the article back to the initial name. It should stay this way before the deletion process is finished.--Mbz1 (talk) 11:56, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Other than the ongoing discussion, why do you oppose the move?Cptnono (talk) 03:03, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, there were more climbers in that climb. I believe there were 10 climbers from a different countries. I was not able to find enough info about other climbers to include them in the article. So, the article is only about the three of them. I do believe we could come up with a better name than it is now, but what's the point to do it right away, if this article could get deleted? So, let's just wait and see I guess. What is your opinion after I told you what mine is?--Mbz1 (talk) 03:15, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This isnt an article about the three guys. It is an article about the three guys and their climb. So the climb needs to be represented in the title as it was or with something else (I had an overly wordy suggestion before). We should also strive to get more in about the organization and the other climbers. Since that will happen shortly (assuming it closes as no consensus), I wouldn't worry about it being a problem.Cptnono (talk) 03:22, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I guess you are right. If you'd like to move it back please do.--Mbz1 (talk) 04:04, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

nominated article for the deletion right after the first request was closed

I am removing the tags now, and I am afraid I will bring the matter to AN/I, if you'll re-post the tags.--Mbz1 (talk) 14:54, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You're wrong, Mbz.... Check my contributions a bit more thoroughly. The closing admin simply forgot to remove the AfD tag after he closed the discussion. Maashatra11 (talk) 15:03, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I will still bring the matter to AN/I for the new tags you have added just now.--Mbz1 (talk) 15:10, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Be my guest Maashatra11 (talk) 15:11, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The article was nominated for the deletion just few hours before it was supposed to be featured at the main page as DYK. I asked Maashatra11 to wait with the deletion request until DYK was over. He refused. Now, when the deletion request is closed, it could have gone to DYK, but with those tags it will not. It is more than unfair. This is an article that talks about peace concerning one very violent region. The more people will read the article the better. It is simply wrong to deny DYK for this kind of article. The tags should be removed at least until DYK is over.--Mbz1 (talk) 15:58, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merge other two articles to this one

As I stated in the AfD, due to the almost nonexistent length of the articles on Everest: A Climb for Peace and Everest Peace Project, I feel that those two articles should be merged to this one, if they do not meet notability requirements. I haven't looked at them closely enough to tell that, but it seems clear to me that this is the better and main article. SilverserenC 16:13, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is really absurd. 3 articles on the same thing. And no one agrees on what ought to be done.Maashatra11 (talk) 17:12, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
...I just gave you a proposal on what should be done. I think the other two should be merged here. SilverserenC 17:18, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with you, the three articles should be merged to one. If it happens, this article should be renamed because in the documentary film there were more than 3 participants. The same is true for the EP Project as a whole. Maashatra11 (talk) 17:28, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Completely disagree. The doc is notable by itself and will have information different from this article. The project is notable by itself and again will have different information. And this is notable per the GNG. Some info will be duplicated but that is why we have summary style. As discussed above, a title change is needed and information on the other participants is needed. Just a little TLC, a category, and some wikilinks and it will be fine.Cptnono (talk) 01:39, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I agree on the title change. As I said at the AfD, I think the merge issue is more complex and may need more consideration, but I see no reason why the title should not be changed to something more appropriate in the meantime. Gatoclass (talk) 01:54, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
