Citation and statement wrong by neutral sources name of Kashmir

The statement made referring to world's opinion on Kashmir's name being same as Pakistan's naming ("Indian-administered Kashmir" and "Indian-controlled Kashmir" are often used by neutral sources) is referring to the 22nd citation pointing to an untrusted/wrong source. The citation is not a link nor when I searched online on Great Britain's report (https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/243251/7142.pdf) doesn't prove anything. Please remove that statement as it is merely hearsay and based on Pakistan's government's opinions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ranagani (talkcontribs) 08:29, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh

Please make sure that Jammu & Kashmir is already divided into two states. Please correct it ASAP 🙏 2409:4070:448A:C030:9880:74FF:FE0A:B794 (talk) 15:21, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean? This article is about the union territory, the article about the state is Jammu and Kashmir (state). – Uanfala (talk) 11:43, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Using emblem, flag and map

As Jammu and Kashmir is a union territory of India and the area of the this region (except azad kashmir) is fully administered by India, can i make a move to use flag, emblem and a map with azad kashmir labelled and marked not administered?

Arunachal pradesh, another area that is also disputed but controlled by India has wikipedia page with flag, emblem and a standard map. Editor8220 (talk) 13:58, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Questions like this have been discussed at great length before (example 1, example 2). Uanfala (talk) 15:06, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

But both are still territories fully administered by India and do not have any autonomy. It a part of India. Editor8220 (talk) 16:23, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The sovereignty issue here is very contested. --Gilgul Kaful (talk) 17:06, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Its not contested. It is fully administered by India. Pakistan do not have administration in Jammu and Kashmir. Editor8220 (talk) 17:14, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The area is split. It is very contested. --Gilgul Kaful (talk) 17:40, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) "Not contested" ? I'm not sure how much you know about this subject, but please try reading the first 2 lines of the article:-
"Jammu and Kashmir is a region administered by India as a union territory and consisting of the southern portion of the larger Kashmir region, which has been the subject of a dispute between India and Pakistan since 1947, and between India and China since 1962"
Wikipedia does not state who "owns" it, just who currently administers it, the sovereignty is very contested. - Arjayay (talk) 17:43, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Can you define "owns"? A nation cannot administer a territory unless they own it. ( I am not talking about entire kashmir, But a small area in south of it called Jammu and Kashmir).

Jammu and Kashmir is a union territory of India and is directly administrted from New Delhi. The disputing nation has no (absolutely no) control over it from ground to legislation. It is India that control its Foreign affairs, Finance, defense and internal affairs.Editor8220 (talk) 18:05, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It is still contested by other states. --Gilgul Kaful (talk) 10:59, 11 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
