Multiple attempts have been made to add [[Adrian Bellani]] (Gerardo Celasco) to the infobox as a partner. That field is for an "unmarried long-term partner". Sports Illustrated for Kids cover
I see here (and elsewhere) that she was apparently on the cover of Sports Illustrated for Kids with Michael Jordan when she was 10 years old (other sources say 10 or 11 years old), and that it needs citation. However, upon further searching, I see no cover with her and Michael Jordan. Proof is easy enough, as the magazine's website has a cover viewer that dates back to the January 1989 (at which point she was still 9 years old). One site quotes her as saying (apparently in relation to the cover, though the wording makes it unclear): "The big scandal was when I was in seventh grade and I modeled a bathing suit. Everybody freaked out!"
Official "SI Kids" cover viewer: http://www.sikids.com/cover-viewer Website containing above quote (in the "Career" section): http://www.superiorpics.com/jennifer_morrison/
In the age frame given (assuming we look from the first issue to when she turned 12), Jordan was only on one cover, the January 1989 issue (first one, unless there's more before that one that the site doesn't make mention of). So the only cover I see that she could possibly be in (without knowing exactly what she looked like as a kid) would be the June 1989 cover (swimming cover, no Jordan, but fits the age frame) or the May 1992 cover (the second issue that Jordan was on, and has a girl that just might be her, but would put her at being 12 or 13 years old, depending on when exactly the cover picture was taken).
So the questions are... what part of the information is right or wrong? Obviously, she was not on a SI Kids cover with Jordan at the age of 10 (or even 11). Is there somebody with the May 1992 issue that might be able to verify it, or a childhood picture of her that we might be able to use for visual verification? --GamesoulMaster (talk) 02:16, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Finding a picture
http://wallpapers.skins.be/jennifer-morrison/jennifer-morrison-1024x768-22829.jpg Here, check out a photo of her We need a picture here.
- I subscribe: WE REALLY NEED A PICTURE HERE.
You could locate one at http://www.carnivorous-carnival.com/jennifermorrison/indexx.html out of the tons that are there. I'm sure there is going to be a free use one there.
- Perhaps but make sure the copyright holder is identified and make sure the image is not showing her as a character (in which case, it'd only be fair-use to depict the character, not the actress). --Yamla 17:52, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale
- The image in question, Image:Allison cameron.jpg is used in the context of this article to illustrate the fictional character Allison Cameron (House), played by the subject of this article Jennifer Morrison.
- No free equivalent image is known to exist (Commons search for Jennifer Morrison, Commons search for Allison Cameron).
- The image in question was published by the copyright holder as promotional material, its use here does not replace the market role for the original copyrighted media.
- It is used to illustrate two articles on wikipedia; the article on the fictional character Allison Cameron (House) and the biographical article for the actor Jennifer Morrison.
- The image has been published.
- The image meets general Wikipedia content requirements (encyclopedic).
- The image meets the media-specific policy requirements (format).
- The image is used in at least one article.
- The image contributes significantly to the article in question, since this is the role for which the actor in question is most commonly known.
- The image is only used in the article namespace.
- The image contains proper attribution of the source of the material, a fair use tag, and a fair use rationale (this one).
--Oden 18:08, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
- We still can only use freely-licensed images to depict living people. This is a living person, the image is not freely-licensed. --Yamla 18:15, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
- I have been unable to find any limitation in policy regarding the use of fair use images to depict living people. One of the counterexamples on the Fair use guideline states that "An image of a living person that merely shows what they look like." is not fair use, which I have interpreted as that the image has to be put in context (which is also a part of the fair use criteria). There is however a movement among a few wikipedians to introduce such a policy, see Wikipedia:Images of living people. --Oden 18:18, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
- "No free equivalent is available or could be created that would adequately give the same information. [...] However, if the subject of the photograph still exists, a freely-licensed photograph could be taken." This is from WP:FUC. The subject of this photograph still exists and the purpose of an image in the article's infobox is to depict what the person looks like. This is why we have the {{subst:rfu}} tag. Now, if this particular image was attached to a paragraph discussing her appearance in House and accompanied with a fair-use rationale explaining why it was important to show what she looked like there, this image would be acceptable. Similarly, the image is acceptable to depict the fictional character because it is not replaceable in that context. --Yamla 18:27, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
- I intepreted "a freely-licensed photograph could be taken" as a suggestion to replace the image with a free one if possible, and not as an excluding factor. Of course, in the context of this article the image is intended to illustrate the actor playing a character and not the person in general. As such, the image is not likely to be created under a free license any time soon (but if it were the fair use image would have to be replaced).
- I have moved the image out of the infobox.--Oden 19:02, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
Here are three featured articles that have fair use or promotional images: Lindsey Lohan, Uma Thurman and Celine Dion. Since it is hardly likely that these articles would have become featured articles if they violated policy, the more reasonable explanation is that there is no clear consensus regarding the use of fair use images in a living persons biography. --Oden 20:03, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
- Not one of those has a fair-use or promotional image in the article's infobox. Please reread WP:FUC. If other articles may violate this policy, that is grounds for fixing those violations, not for violating the policy in another article. --Yamla 20:08, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
::I read WP:FUC and none of the ten is in favor of removing the image.
- The very first one says "No free equivalent. Non-free content is used only where no free equivalent is available or could be created that would serve the same encyclopedic purpose. If non-free content can be transformed into free material, this is done instead of using a fair-use defense." There is no such thing as a free image for a fictional character, so only promotional pictures or screenshots can be used.
The second has not been violated, because the original picture does not lower the commercial value of fictional character Allison Cameron. #3 says the non-free content must be minimal, and the image is only used once. The image (non-free content) was used by at least one article until it was removed. mirageinred 20:51, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Pic to use
Why not just use the same one in the Allison Cameron article? Thanksy, 13:52, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
I agree...Why not just use the same one for her character, assuming it's free? tgpuckett 13:52, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
I just read it as I was about to try and edit! It can't be used because it's a promotional image, which can only be used in relation to the name of the character. Noooooo! =( Thanks, Aeryck89 13:54, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
This is ridiculous, i've checked a large number of other pages around for living people and NONE of them have the dispute that this one does, most of the use images found online at random locations and do include screenshots or promotional posters, why is this one profile on wikipedia so different from any of the others in the 1.5 million articles on the site? I'm considering posting an RfC to resolve this dispute. - Count23 02:51, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
- With some exceptions, the other non free content images will also disappear eventually. See also Wikipedia:Fair use criteria #1. Garion96 (talk) 17:41, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
:Agreed. There can be no free image for this character, because it is a fictional character. This is why only promo images can be used. Please take it to RfC. mirageinred 20:38, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Maybe we can use this. Image:Houseteam.JPG mirageinred 20:40, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- No, completely inappropriate for exactly the same reason. --Yamla 20:43, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, my bad. I got this page confused with the Allison Cameron page. mirageinred 21:00, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- Damn I feel so stupid. mirageinred 21:02, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- I was just about to point out that Morrison is not fictional. :) --Yamla 21:03, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

SPOILER WARNING
I watch the House show on DVD so I am still at season 1 and liked to see her and House's relationship. I come here to see some info about the actress and what do I see? "Best known for her role as Dr. Allison Chase (nee Cameron)". That's a HUGE spoiler! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.180.24.165 (talk) 17:48, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- Two things. First, see WP:SPOILERS (in a nutshell, wp has spoilers, deal with it). Second, agreed, changed back to Cameron. -mattbuck (Talk) 18:01, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
Name
The character's name is Allison Cameron according to all reliable sources. Unless a more recent reliable source states that her name has changed, it should be given as Cameron in the article. Ricardiana (talk) 01:21, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed, as above. -mattbuck (Talk) 11:11, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
