I'm not inclined to believe that any of the sources refer to this as "Wikipedia link lavender", considering Wikipedia didn't exist yet. Feel free to add it back if you can find a reference that does, though. - [[User:I do not exist|∅]] ([[User talk:I do not exist|∅]]), 19:59, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

== Source ==

I removed a source of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Single_lavendar_flower02.jpg for the info box, which in turn replaced a link to another Wikipedia. Wikipedia articles are never sources; if an article contains some information you should refer onwards to the original source. In any case, that was a picture. I want to emphasise my interpretation of Wikipedia's guidelines: that a photograph cannot be a source of a named color value, and if that is the only source, it must be removed. A good approximation to a common idea of lavender would be the color of a formerly blue Wikipedia link that has turned a shade of light violet because you have already been to that article. This color, Wikipedia lavender, which could be described as dull deep lavender or pale dull medium violet , is reproduced in the color box at right.

I'm not inclined to believe that any of the sources refer to this as "Wikipedia link lavender", considering Wikipedia didn't exist yet. Feel free to add it back if you can find a reference that does, though. - (), 19:59, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
