|quote = To be fair, there was consensus among Wikipedia editors to include the massacre in the “List of major terrorist incidents” Wikipedia page. But there wasn’t consensus for including it in the “List of Islamist terrorist attacks” Wikipedia page, as enough editors argued in an RfC that doing so would violate Wikipedia policy banning “original research,” (WP:OR), which states that “all material added to articles must be verifiable in a reliable, published source.” |

Deaths: 2,996 (2,977 + 19 hijackers. 2595 people from the World Trade Center towers, 125 people from the Pentagon, and 256 people from the planes) |
Change "World Trade Center towers" to just "World Trade Center", because there are people who are in the World Trade Center but aren't in the towers who died. |
American Airlines Flight 11 crashes into One World Trade Center (North Tower) at 8:46 AM EDT. United Airlines Flight 175 crashes into Two World Trade Center (South Tower) at 9:03 AM EDT. American Airlines Flight 77 crashes into the Pentagon. |
Remove the link from One World Trade Center and Two World Trade Center because they don't go to the articles of the exact towers involved in the incident and instead go to the ones that are the replacements. :@[[User:Swissairproud001|Swissairproud001]], I've updated the link to the One World Trade Centre to go to [[List of tenants in 1 World Trade Center (1971–2001)]]. The article for [[2 World Trade Center]] currently covers both the original and the new buildings, so I've left it for the moment. I ask because all the other incidents on the list count both. 9/11's 2996 number is both the perpetrators and victims, so is Beslan's, the ones with militant attacks like Camp Speicher/Tikrit is usually both, why single this one out? |

Change "2200+ killed" to "1200+ killed" on October 7, 2023, as documented by every source to date. Clearly a typo.
