Is it confirmed that the game was inspired by the Jack the Ripper graphic novel FROM HELL by Alan Moore?!
It came years before the game, with the same idea that JTR's killings were magic ritual to change the world as we know it.. and London Cathedrals play a huge symbolic role in the comic, like the cathedral of the game.

One of the first M games on Nintendo?

[edit]

Per Moby Games, there were already 13 M games out for N64, 1 on Game Boy and 4 on Super Nintendo when Shadow Man hit, so it was the nineteenth M game on a Nintendo console, hardly one of the first. I've removed the claim that it was. Ace of Sevens 08:27, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Where on Moby games? Anyone have a page with a chart of M-rated games? Were non-rated games allowed on Nintendo consoles? What were the first 18? 184.145.18.50 (talk) 18:21, 8 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Fiction tag

[edit]

Generally speaking, it was the closest thing I could find to a tag that said "This article needs to more closely adhere to the principles of WP:FICTION" and less generally speaking the traditions of WP:CVG. Section titles "What is a Shadowman?" and "Shadowmen" are wonderfully noninformative. Almost no sentence in the entire article tell me how the game is actually played; "By day he is Mike LeRoi, working at the Wild at Heart. By night he becomes the Shadowman." Great. Is there a day/night cycle, or is the day simply an excuse to show some cutscenes, while the meat of the game takes place at night, as Shadow Man? Can the player move back and forth at will, or are there restrictions on when/where that can happen?

In short, tell me about the game, not about Shadow Man. Nifboy 05:48, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'ma fix that. >.>

As I recall correctly, even that is not true. Change happens for Mike at will, not due to the sun going down. Lots42 (talk) 03:51, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ShadowMan Remake

[edit]

According to some sources, a remake of the first game will be made and also a sequel to it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheShadowMan (talkcontribs) 04:47, August 26, 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Shadow Man02.jpg

[edit]

Image:Shadow Man02.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
