Contested deletion

This page should not be speedily deleted because this is an International Cricket tour organized by two full members of the ICC. There are enough references added as well as it fits the notebility criterion. --Ankurc.17 (talk) 10:27, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There has already been an AfD discussion. Here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Zimbabwean cricket team in Ireland in 2024. The article that has been recreated is substantially similar (near identical in content) to the article that was deleted. And reliant on the same sources. Those sources already having been reviewed by the community - with consensus that ROTM announcements of a proposed/future event do not meet the notability criteria for events. Including WP:SPORTSEVENT. If you want this article "kept", then you need to demonstrate and explain how the recreated article (incl its content and sources) are substantially different from what as discussed in the AfD. Otherwise, per closer's comments in the AfD, you can request that the content be recreated as a draft. Until the event actually occurs. And/or it can be established that significant and in-depth coverage of the event has actually been published. See also Wikipedia:Deletion review. (Please also note that ignoring the outcomes of AfD discussions, and recreating articles that were deleted following an AfD discussion, could be considered a form of disruptive editing). Thanks.
