USNS Yuma (T-EPF-8) will be the eighth Spearhead-class expeditionary fast transport and will be operated by the Military Sealift Command.[1] It will be the fourth ship in naval service named after Yuma, Arizona.[2]

The ship was christened on 20 August 2016 by ship's sponsor Janet Napolitano and is under construction at Austal USA in Mobile, Alabama[3] with a completion date estimated to be in March, 2017.[4]
