Publications

My first full-length collection of poems, Map of the Hydrogen World, was published by Cracked Slab Books in December, 2008. I have also authored a chapbook called cessation covers (Funtime Press, 2007).

My creative and critical work has been published in the following journals: Jacket, Cordite Poetry Review, moria, OCHO #11, Another Chicago Magazine (ACM), milk magazine, PFS Post, Alehouse, Tears in the Fence, and The November 3rd Club.

I have edited the online journal Seven Corners since 2006, which publishes Chicago and Midwestern poets of note. Seven Corners has featured over forty different poets.

I maintain several blogs, including Fluid / Exchange, which features cultural and literary commentary; Steve Halle Teaches Composition, which is a portfolio surveying my studies in composition theory and praxis; and Composition as Critical Inquiry, a hub for the first-year composition class I teach.
