Welcome!

Hello, Antony1821, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Giorgos Valerianos, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard. Thank you.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Feinoha Talk, My master 16:57, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

PLEASE DO NOT WRITE ME MORE...LET ME HAVE A NEW START OF DOING MY JOB BETTER THAN EVER!!!!

The article Nikos Papadimas has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Kosm1fent Won't you talk to me? 19:58, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Nikos Papadimas has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Alexander Graham Bell. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Bzuk (talk) 23:59, 22 October 2011 (UTC).[reply]

Block notice

I have warned you repeatedly that the addition of unsourced info will lead to another block of your account (see here) and yet it continues. Your account is now blocked in order to afford you the time and opportunity to review Wikipedia's core policies regarding verifiability, sources, and biography articles. If the same behaviour continues once the block expires, I expect the next block will be significantly longer Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 17:30, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with upload of File:Mirallas pao-osfp.JPG

Thanks for uploading File:Mirallas pao-osfp.JPG. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator. Please tell me how you found these pictures; I think you have a misunderstanding of what is "legal" and what is not, but if you tell me what you did, maybe I can help.--SPhilbrickT 13:02, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Editing your own talk page is acceptable, but not when it leaves a misleading impression. The post above is partly from me, and partly from someone else.--SPhilbrickT 13:39, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You seem to have forgotten to add a completed {{information}} template to this image, especially the source and copyright tag. If you need help you can ask at media copyright questions page of drop me a talkback and I'll try to help you. ww2censor (talk) 19:10, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Kevinmirallas.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:01, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

December 2011

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without verifying permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted.

Please take this opportunity to be sure you understand our copyright policy and our policies regarding how to use non-free content. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:02, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You have been repeatedly warned about the endless uploading of blatant copyvio images - I count 34 images deleted to date, and I've just seen another 3 images in your recent uploads to check out...  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:07, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

IS IT SO BAD TO ADD PHOTOS TO PLAYERS WITHOUT PHOTOS???YOU HAVE WARNED ME ABOUT EDITING , EDITED PLAYERS , YOU HAVE WARNED ME ABOUT EDITING NON-EDITED PLAYERS......WHAT DO YOU WANT FOR CHRIST SAKE???

Decline reason:

We want you to follow the rules. You are blocked for repeatedly adding images which are copyright violations. You understand what that means don't you? It's not just breaking our rules, its a legal issue Jac16888 Talk 13:43, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

One question: the photos for cristiano ronaldo , lionel messi etc. or for vasilis torosidis are not copyright violations????

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 11:17, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You are blocked for adding copyrighted images to Wikipedia. Copyright violation is illegal. No one is going to unblock you until you clearly explain what 'copyright' is, and the specific things you are going to do to avoid violating copyright in the future. I am sorry you are finding Wikipedia's rules difficult, but if you have read the rules carefully and sincerely don't understand them, which seems to be what you are saying, then you should probably wait to use Wikipedia until you are able to understand the rules. Are you a student? Many of Wikipedia's rules are similar to the rules that you will learn when you study good research writing skills in high school and college. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 11:19, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

OK....: 1.I have been blocked for repeatedly image addition and I have understood my mistake 2.I need you to unblock my account because I need to do a serious work for my school after Christmas and I need the edit section!!! 3.That's all!!!I hope that you will unblock me...

Decline reason:

You have not been blocked for "repeatedly image addition". This request does not convince me that you have a clue about why you have been blocked. Kuru (talk) 16:32, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Considering your aggressively argumentative response only yesterday, I think we need to be convinced that you do actually understand copyright before you can be unblocked, and you have not really said anything about that so far. So can you give us a brief explanation of what you understand copyright to be and how we should decide if an image can be used here at Wikipedia? (Not a detailed essay - just a quick overview to show that you understand is all I ask for) -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 15:35, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Well....Copyright is a legal concept, enacted by most governments, giving the creator of an original work exclusive rights to it, usually for a limited time. Generally, it is "the right to copy", but also gives the copyright holder the right to be credited for the work, to determine who may adapt the work to other forms, who may perform the work, who may financially benefit from it, and other, related rights. It is an intellectual property form (like the patent, the trademark, and the trade secret) applicable to any expressible form of an idea or information that is substantive and discrete.[1]

Copyright initially was conceived as a way for government to restrict printing; the contemporary intent of copyright is to promote the creation of new works by giving authors control of and profit from them. Copyrights have been internationally standardized, lasting between fifty to a hundred years from the creator's death, or a finite period for anonymous or corporate creations; some jurisdictions have required formalities to establishing copyright, most recognize copyright in any completed work, without formal registration. Generally, copyright is enforced as a civil matter, though some jurisdictions do apply criminal sanctions.

Most jurisdictions recognize copyright limitations, allowing "fair" exceptions to the creator's exclusivity of copyright, and giving users certain rights. The development of digital media and computer network technologies have prompted reinterpretation of these exceptions, introduced new difficulties in enforcing copyright, and inspired additional challenges to copyright law's philosophic basis. Simultaneously, businesses with great economic dependence upon copyright have advocated the extension and expansion of their copy rights, and sought additional legal and technological enforcement.

As for images it is not so bad to add images for players...they are just images....they are not copyright violations.....For example , the images for Cristiano Ronaldo , Lionel Messi and for many other players is just to show how is this player and how looks like!!!That's all.....

Decline reason:

That was obviously just copied from somewhere without understanding. Ending by saying "As for images it is not so bad to add images for players...they are just images....they are not copyright violations" clearly shows you do not understand it at all. Request reason:

Copyright is something like a "piracy" in the internet and movie factor....It is absolutely illegal but in this world everyone is doing copyright...especially in movies who noone follow the rules...but copyright in internet can lead you to jail or worse...noone can hide in internet...As for images...they are from our local newspaper here in Greece...some people upload them in internet....and I upload them to the players i know..

Decline reason:

You will clearly continue to disrupt Wikipedia with illegal image uploads, so I am declining this (5th?) attempt an unblock. Any further request for unblock should be directed to Arbcom. The Rambling Man (talk) 22:58, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
