Please tone it down

Your recent postings at ANI have been very strident. I appreciate that you are upset and feel a sense of injustice at what has happened but you will persuade no-one if you cannot discuss these issues more calmly. If you feel too emotionally unsettled to be able to do that, then I strongly suggest you go walk your dog (or borrow someoneelses dog and walk that) and take some time back in meat-space to restore your equanimity before taking this up again. Spartaz Humbug! 16:57, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Emotionally unsettled" me? No I'm fine.--Domer48'fenian' 17:05, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Your contributions to ANI suggest otherwise, you may feel in control but you are not projecting this to other editors. I strongly advise you to go do something else for half an hour before coming back to this. Spartaz Humbug! 17:07, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm projecting my opinion at ANI, and it is not my intension to upset any sensitive souls so they can rest easy. The display of solidarity is so impressive, I will leave it for a bit as it is only allowing editors to focus on me and not the issue at hand. A bit like you are doing now, with the little hint of a block. So the result is one editor indef blocked possibly Irish we don't know, either way they appear to have been in sympathy with them, and another editor who is confirmed as Irish, blocked for responding to a scurrilous accusation in a very frank an manly manner. Now are you a psychologist by any chance as your comments lend themselves to the suggestion? If not, please don't assume to tell me how I'm feeling thanks. --Domer48'fenian' 17:24, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Just to be crystal clear - I am not hinting any blocks at all and I apologise if I gave that impression. I'm giving you friendly advice based on my assessment of how much traction your arguments are getting. You can carry on but I think you would have more success standing back for a while before re-engaging. Spartaz Humbug! 17:29, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Did I not say above that I was standing back and why? Now I could offer you a very frank opinion in a very manly manner of what I think of Moreschi and their view of Irish editors but I don't think it needs saying. That they are not alone is obvious. Having stepped back now from ANI, I note us Irish are still the sole subject of conversation with calls for more sanctions. It's amazing we have lasted this long!

Now I'll offer you some advice which you can take or leave. Before you offer me or anyone else any more advice, try earn some respect first! What sets the editors apart who Moreschi holds up with such contempt is that they all have and hold a great deal of self respect! Everyone one of them has a set of balls, and is well able to hold their own in any discussion despite the odds and the cards being stacked against them. Not one of them will put anything on an article that they can not support with references. Everyone of them hates with a passion pov pushers regardless. They all hold the knuckle dragging troglodytes that vandalize this project in higher regard than the Admin's who abuse their position and tools to push their POV. Vandalism can be removed after all.

Now you could start by telling Elonka how taking their suggestion and shoving it quite abruptly and forcefully in a dark and confined space close to the ground would do more to improve the situation than going around with their head there. Now I don't know how much traction that would get, but anything would be better than the sham that is currently being played out! On the bright side, the indef block on what could possibly have been an innocent new editor is still in place, and all discussion on it closed down. --Domer48'fenian' 18:53, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That comment, "taking their suggestion and shoving it..." is going to do wonders for you. Please Domer, drop this before you find your own choice of words under the spotlight. Better still, redact it then drop it. Rockpocket 18:59, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
