Thanks for the correction on the Hangman stump count. I should make things a bit easier now. -- [[User:Water Bottle|WB]] 06:01, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

Revision as of 06:01, 16 March 2006

My talk page, and all subsequent archives, is best viewed in 1152x864 resolution.

Because of their length I felt like it, the previous discussions on this page have been archived. If further archiving is needed, see Wikipedia:How to archive a talk page.

Note about archiving: in archive two, I have a message that belongs in archive three. However, the message was more relevant in archive two, and that's where it ended up.

FIFA World Cup not FA - again

(oh, you archived it) I also thank you, and I am totally willing to do what I can to help with this article. Conscious 20:37, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't vandalising

There is a link to Barker on the picture thumb caption, why do you need two? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.207.210.139 (talk • contribs) .

Times

I tried looking at hangman again, and I finally understood it!!! One thing I don't understand about it-on my calender, it's the seventh, but people were dating their guesses for March eighth. And, what about actual time of day? Does Wikipedia run on a 24 or 12 hour clock? Of course, you only have to put in your signiture and it happens automatically, but I still want to understand it.Tigereye 53 01:04, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New Sports Wiki/Community

I noticed you were a Nationals and Indians Fan. My friends and I started a sports wiki/community that you may be interested in. It uses Wikipedia's software but we made a lot of technological improvements to allow for more news, opinion articles, and better integration of sports statistics. The site is located here: <link removed, determined to be linkspam>. Check our baseball, Nationals, and Indians section its pretty cool:

<links removed, as they were determined to be linkspam.>

When you get the chance, let me know what you think.

Thanks!

--Thanks for checking out the site! We're still working on the layout and the design. So check back in the future you may be surprised --Awrigh01 16:30, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AMA

Hello, you are receiving this message because your name is on the list of members of the Association of Members' Advocates. There is a poll being held at Wikipedia talk:Association of Members' Advocates for approval of a proposal for the revitalisation of the association. You are eligible to vote and your vote and input are welcome.Gator (talk) 14:50, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, if you're interested in having the link handy for your own use you can keep it. On talk pages where someone has replied to the post I've usually excised the link and left behind a link to the page history. Mostly, I want to remove as much of the linkspam as possible without annoying beneficial editors who are interested in making use of the link.

I don't know whether he's trying to manipulate his Alexa rank or Google PageRank or just directly drive traffic to his site; whatever his motives, he shouldn't be using Wikipedia's bandwidth and servers for it. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 04:17, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sports Wiki Apology

I was formerly Awrigh01 until blocked. Wasn't trying to manipulate our Alexa ranks or Google PageRank. We just wanted to spread the word about some cool extensions we added to Mediawiki. If I (or one of my friends) offended, I deeply apologize. We thought that fellow Wikipedians would be interested. We are just trying to extend Wikipedia's amazing technology. --Awright38 05:03, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
