Please help. I have edited this page and verified facts (specifically verified the baseball fact with Carlton Benton at ASA - The National Governing Body of Softball.) I changed the tone of first paragraph and deleted a sentence per the notes on the page and the email you left me. I have tried to adhere closely to AP style. Hello! I have no idea what's going on! I've never edited Wikipedia in my life, and don't have an account or anything. Yet I've been accused of multiple vandalisms. I'm on my school's network. The Quilliam Foundation edits have excluded weasel words - it's unclear why you have removed them. I have reverted as the edit appears fine and improves the article by stripping it of weasel words (eg critics say...). Let me know if not, and for my own benefit, why not. You can offer some input as to why you set the article on Henderson Jordan up for deletion when offered by a now defunct editor named Randazzo56 when another editor rewrote the article and it stays. In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Ok
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Thanks for telling me about the sandbox!

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. == Regarding 'unwanted' changes to Premium_station ==

<s>
Dear Umalee, thankyou for your suggestions. What kind of reference are you looking for to prove station toilets are seldom open? This is hardly something to be documented by Connex, or the media unless it is a very, VERY slow news day. Perhaps you want a photograph of a closed toilet in a premium station with a clock in clear display. I appreciate your efforts to maintain a clean-looking page. But none of the information on this page has been referenced so I hardly see how my additions require one.

I have also made some suggestions in the talk section of Premium station

Furthermore i would direct you to the comments made by Kyelewis in the talk section.

Thanks

Hi kannie

Got your messege, and will use the sandbox from now on. however, could i make a reference to the original doctor who came up with with the fraze in the first place? On Wikipedia honesty should not be taken into consideration, but rather the factual relevance. I will apologize for using the word idiotic, however, people should not call a person born in 1991 a general in the military, when he was born in 1981 and is an English cricketer. == RE: Notability and H.J.Gauntlett ==

Excuse me, but I fail to see how H.J. Gauntlett is notable. There is no references whatsoever and it reads like an ad. I highly suspect, though I may wrong, that the author is H.J.Gauntlett. May I ask, in good faith, where do you see the notability?--Kannie | talk 02:41, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

:Hello. It was a mere assumption that I made after doing a google search, and tagged it, since no matter if it is notable or not, the article is in a state in which it would need to be wikified and expanded. You can, obviously, still propose deletion or request speedy deletion if seen fit. ~ <span style="white-space:nowrap; color:#FF0000;font-weight:bold;">| <small>twsx</small> | <small>talkcont</small> |</span> 07:45, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

:::I don't think so (i'm too lazy, at least right now). The article still does not make a real assertion for notability, so i'd say it is still eligible for speedy deletion under criteria A7. Nominate it if you want (which, to have mentioned it, i have not discouraged at any time).

You nominated my article for "speedy deletion" with the claim that the man in question's name was no where mentioned in my references. However, you failed to review the lawsuit, which was referenced several times in my article, in which Charles Boartz had been named a defendant in the matter. This is apparent in the very top of the document and requires no significant reading.

Welcoming committee
I'm not sure that adding a welcoming message to every IP user who edits Wikipedia is the best thing to do - if it was it could be done by a robot. I'm sure your efforts are well intentioned, but I really think there are more important things that they could be focused on. :You do have a point. I haven't really had an anonmous user contact me until now, unless it "contacting" me to vandalize my talk page! It's just that this template encourages people to register an account, and links to my talk page, which encourages at least encourages non-anon peopple to ask for help. That's was why I 'welcome' everyone to wikipedia. Out of curiosity, why don't you think it's a good idea? Kannie | talk 22:14, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
::I do recommend being welcoming, but there are over a million people who edit Wikipedia, and most only do one edit and never come back. When you click "edit this page" you get a boilerplate of what Wikipedia thinks is important for everyone to see, old and new alike. I have heard estimates that there are less than 500 active Wikipedians (I'm not one of them). It often takes me an hour to make one edit (researching, looking up references), I see some people making over 500 edits in one day. Many of the robot tasks on Wikipedia are literally done by robots, like Sinebot if you forget to sign a talk page, and Cluebot if someone vandalizes a page in an obvious manner. It's really hard to tell if an IP user is a one time editor or has come back. I look at their contribs and see if they have edited multiple times before throwing them a welcome. You will find that there are some habitual IP users like myself who just don't want to be bothered with registering, while most will welcome the advice. There really is a welcoming committee, and if you aren't a member you should be. Also since you are relatively new you can ask for a mentor. == User talk:Collard ==
Hi, I don't know if you're familiar with WP:USER or WP:TALK, but it's generally considered good etiquette to mind your own business when it comes to Wikipedians' user or talk pages. Dropping a warning template on Collard's talk page is extremely poor etiquette per WP:TEMPLAR. Collard has done fantastic work in resizing and/or converting non-free images that he did not originally upload. The favor he gets in return is constant harassment about non-free images. :Ah - being bold I see. Good for you, Kannie. But they are right. If you have read all the templates a hundred times it is pointless for someone to drop one of them on your talk page, and better to customize your notice to them. Now, what was I working on when you distracted me? Oh yes, finding a category for an article. :...Anyway, Kannie. I get a trillion messages a second from bots warning me about the many (possibly hundreds of) unused/disputed/etc fair-use images I re-uploaded in reduced resolution. Since I don't care about fair use images (other than I don't want the Wikimedia foundation to get sued over them) I delete these warnings from my talk page and this is what made you think that I was blanking needlessly. Please don't do that again, k? :) And if you're using some custom script or other, please tweak it so that people blanking their own user/talk pages doesn't trigger it, to save them some annoyance.

I was a little surprised to find a deletion template on a new article, seemingly only a minute or two after it had been created. There has been significant discussion on the general CIA article talk page that there is too much material for a single article, and this article was one of a group of sub-articles into which content would be distributed.

While I'm happy to discuss the reasons this is being done, it seemed a bit premature to flag deletion with no discussion. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I had not seen your name in the CIA article discussions, and it seemed unusual for someone who has not been involved to contest the creation of a sub-article.

An intelligence task force is also being created in the Military History project. Howard C. Berkowitz (talk) 16:05, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

I don't think it's particularly productive to pull the speedy-delete trigger on an article one minute after the first edit on it. - JasonAQuest (talk) 20:09, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

:I'm following procedure, but I'm a little perplexed by your hair-trigger approach to implementing it... hence the note here. Is it really recommended to shoot first on speedy-deletes and ask questions later? Just a couple minutes looking at the article and the pre-existing links to it would have established it has a high likelihood of being notable, and it's mathematically clear that you didn't spend that. - JasonAQuest (talk) 20:20, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

::I wanted to make sure you knew that your actions were hostile to Wikipedia's productive editing environment, and pointing it out on a Talk page I had no reason to believe you would bother to read wouldn't accomplish that. If you don't want to be bothered by criticism like this, try acting with a little circumspection. In the five years I've been on WP, I've found that thinking before you edit helps a lot. -JasonAQuest (talk) 20:40, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

RE:Speedying
Hi! I noticed your great work speedying new pages, and wanted to encourage you to keep up the good work. I also wanted to blatantly pitch Twinkle to you; basically, it is an automated system that lets you speedy pages, put them up for any other deletion process, and even lets you revert vandalism more easily. Quite handy, and speeds up everything quite a bit. You don't have to use it of course, I'm just recommending it. Cheers, Master of Puppets <span style="font-variant:Small-caps;color:;">Care to share?</span> 20:57, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

#First, open up your your monobook page.
#Edit it, and add this in;
#: importScript('User:AzaToth/twinkle.js');
#Save the page, and hard-refresh it; this is usually done by holding the Ctrl key and pressing F5 at the same time.

:Hope that helps! You should notice new tabs popping up at the top of any new pages you visit. Cheers, Master of Puppets <span style="font-variant:Small-caps;color:;">Care to share?</span> 21:06, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

The page, Rangárþing ytra, should not be deleted. I was planning to add more information to it later. Also, Rangárþing ytra is quite a notable municipality in Iceland. It is okay to be a deletionist, but as far as I know all villages in the world are notable. As most parts of Freiburg, the city, are also villages, surely this must be notable. Hey, again. Don't think I'm singling you out, we just seem to be hitting the same articles. I've removed the speedy deletion tag from Sant singh sekhon because the first deletion was due to a copyright violation, so this isn't really a repost, and it doesn't qualify for a speedy deletion because there is a claim of notability - winning a President's prize. I have no idea if the prize is notable or not, but if you still think it should be deleted after my removal of the speedy tag, go ahead and list it at AfD. <font face="Comic Sans"><span style="color:green">Corvus cornix</span><span style="color:Dark Green">talk</span></font> 23:00, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

Wow. Just seconds after I submit, you request speedy deletion. You don't even give me a chance to build on the article, and obviously didn't bother finding out what Mixx is. You could have added a stub tag, maybe just a simple deletion, but there is no reason to request a speedy deletion, especially this early on with an article of this nature. --Mikco (talk) 03:11, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

Hi The Quilliam Foundation edits have excluded weasel words - it's unclear why you have removed them. I have reverted as the edit appears fine and improves the article by stripping it of weasel words (eg critics say...). Let me know if not, and for my own benefit, why not. Thanks in advance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jk54 (talkcontribs) 19:56, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps[edit]

You can offer some input as to why you set the article on Henderson Jordan up for deletion when offered by a now defunct editor named Randazzo56 when another editor rewrote the article and it stays. Was this due to the quality of the initial article? thanks Custom500 (talk) 01:08, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. New deal for page patrollers[edit]

Hi Kannie,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
