Request reason:

Hi. I have not used this account in years. I am not a regular editor.

I made an account spacedudefromspace to report a user for repeated bias on the administrator noticeboard, only to be IP banned by Mike_V. I thought this needed to be done due to what this editor was doing.

I appealed the ban to HighInBC but he only wanted to talk on the spacedudefromspace talk page, not email, because "It is very clear that this is an alternate account created just to report another user. This is not an appropriate use of an alternate account. I suggest you log back into your regular account."

As I have not used this account in years (you can check), this is not my regular account. I had to guess the password like five times to see if I remembered it.

Because I can't talk on the spacedudefromspace talk page because I am IP banned, there is nothing I can do to convince him otherwise.

This was a misunderstanding and I apologize for my mistakes, if they indeed caused this.

Please unblock my IP.

Decline reason:

Firstly, you have not actually provided the IP you would like to see unblocked. Secondly, you'll need to address the disruptive editing Mike V mentioned. Huon (talk) 12:37, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

@Mike V: Not sure how you want this handled, I am about to go to bed. HighInBC Need help? {{ping|HighInBC}} 04:56, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've blocked this account directly. There is some logged out editing that's disruptive. I'm not quite sure if this user is willing to edit constructively. Mike VTalk 14:22, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Mike V: I will edit constructively from here on in. I wanted to report that user, but I had forgotten my original login (this one), so I created another user account after I realized that it would look foolish to report a user while not logged in. Again, this is my bad and I apologize. Loknar (talk) 00:31, 3 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Huon: The IP that I am requesting be unblocked is 2601:240:C700:FDCF:915E:8BB3:1E04:F14C, which I think was blocked at the subnet level, /64. I made a mistake that night and that lead to this chain of misunderstandings. I will not conduct any further disruptive editing. There was only one user I wanted to report for bias edits and that was the genesis of this problem. Loknar (talk) 19:25, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Unblocked

Following a successful appeal to arbcom, this account has been unblocked. In the future, please take careful note of the sockpuppetry policy, particularly the section related to legitimate uses of alternative accounts. Happy editing! Opabinia regalis (talk) 05:41, 15 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
