Hi - could you please explain your objection to the last referenced edit so that we can finally reach a consensus on this page? Zolotic's parents are Serbs from Bosnia and Herzegovina, in different ways both Serbian and Bosnian. PhainetaiMoi (talk) 05:39, 31 July 2021 (UTC)

Those two Serbian websites don't have any proof they are both ethnic Serbs. They could also be Croatian or etc. Their source is "trust me bro". Just leave as immigrants from Bosnia, that way nobody is wrong. I have yet to see a source or interview where she or her family say Serb or etc. I only heard "Bosnia" as that's where they are from. Thanks for writing. You have a point - and it would probably be best just not to mention her parents' background - but I'm trying to defuse the edit conflict by highlighting both the Serbian and Bosnian elements so we can get a stable version everyone can live with. At least Danas, for better or worse, is basically the newspaper of record in Serbia (and it's not exactly friendly to the nationalists), so it's pretty clearly a reliable source by wikipedia standards, wouldn't you agree? I don't know anything about Serbian news so.... how about we use Denver Post and countless other large American websites that highlight she has parents from Bosnia, ethnicity not specified. Remember, her name and her parents' names could be either/or for ethnicity. "Trust me bro" Serb blog poster isn't too reliable for most Americans and the world. Not sure why this is so controversial to say her parents are from Bosnia? Does Serbia need credit for everything, even when there's no definite answer? Basically Olgica Nikolić at Danas isn't "trust me bro Serb blog poster" any more than the writer at the Denver paper is "trust me bro Colorado blog poster." The thing is this: one editor could say "they're just from Bosnia, why mention they're Serbian" but by the same token another editor could just as easily say "they're Serbian, why mention they're from Bosnia" - we have reliable sources for both facts. I still think putting in both facts (yes, they are Serbs, and yes, they are from Bosnia) is the best way to a general consensus. Or (and I'm beginning to think this is the best way forward) just cut that sentence out entirely and leave her parents/family/background out of it. The guy has over 20 years working for the Associated Press (AP). Nobody cares about some 3rd rate local newspaper like Danas, people care about AP. The source you linked didn't even mention Bosnia, just Serb-American. Imagine being this upset over an 18 year old girl that you're willing to move this many goal posts on a multi-ethnic names. If you're going to question my good faith in reaching out to you, I'm wasting my time. Good luck. PhainetaiMoi (talk) 06:34, 31 July 2021 (UTC)

It's not good faith if you're gonna exclude a fact and include something that isn't verifiable. You want me to exclude both, why? So neither Bosnia or Serbia has claims just like those nationalistic Serbs who don't recognize: Kosovo, much of Bosnia, Montenegro, Macedonia, etc.? Her parents are literally from Bosnia. I can do this all day, good luck. Poggers6969420 (talk) 06:37, 31 July 2021 (UTC)
