Once an error has been fixed, the error report will be removed from this page; please check the page's history to verify that the error has been rectified and for any other comments the administrator may have made. Lengthy discussions should not take place here, and should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere.

References are helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error, and a suggested rewording is helpful with a stylistic complaint. The main page usually defers to supporting pages for facts.

Errors in the summary of Today's featured article on the Main Page

Yeah, saying "is a painting of 1656" makes it sound like he painted a painting of the year 1656. Sbrools (talk . contribs) 16:26, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Errors in Selected anniversaries/On this day

It says on the Main Page that Domnitor Alexander John Cuza merged his two principalities, Wallachia and Moldavia, to form the United Principalities (now Romania), on 5 February 1862. Actually, it happend on 5 February 1859! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bia deadly delight (talk • contribs) 11:33, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

According to Alexander John Cuza, he ruled the two principalities from 5/2/1859 but only formally unified them on 5/2/1862. If you have a source that contradicts that, feel free to edit the article (stating your source). Algebraist 13:00, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Errors in Did you know?

"...that in the Ukrainian-Soviet War (1917-1922) the Ukrainians fought for their independence first from the Russian Empire, and then the Soviet Union?"

Error N1. How could they fight for their independence from the Soviet Union if the latter was established only on December 30 1922?! The fight was between pro-Bolshevik Ukrainians and anti-Bolshevik Ukrainians, nothing to do with the Soviet Union simply because this state did not exist yet!

Error N2. And not "1917-1922", but "1917-1921" according to the article Ukrainian-Soviet War. Av0id3r (talk) 22:48, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That archive is unprotected, so anyone could edit it. Anyone could also edit Ukrainian-Soviet War, if it is wrong to say that low-level fighting continued into 1922. Apparently Bolsheviks chat before December 1922 can be called "Soviets", but not "Soviet Union". Art LaPella (talk) 15:50, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, in the index page there's written,that russian wiki have over 80000 pages, but at this moment it has 231 833 pages.

231,833 is more than 80,000 and less than 250,000, the next cutoff point. Where's the error? Algebraist 13:03, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
