From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Australian Academy of Science held a Women of Science Wikibomb on 14 August 2014 during National Science Week.

The Wikibomb asked participants to help create or improve Wikipedia pages for Australian female scientists who have a limited presence online.

The aim is to publicly acknowledge the work of women in science, as well as inspiring the next generation of scientists.

The Wikibomb was held online and at the physical event at the Shine Dome in Canberra.
