The only possible use of this succession box falls foul of WP:NOTTVGUIDE. It should be deleted and all uses removed from all articles. --woodensuperman 16:44, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep, this template provides some knowledge of the drama serials that precede and succeed the drama. If we delete it we will have to figure these out ourselves, and I don't think it clicks for us. The Chinese Wikipedia has been having this, so why can't we? 2679D (talk) 00:37, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This template wraps {{Amtrak stations}}. It's a copy of {{Amtk}} except that it does not support one parameter (|dab=). It could be redirected to {{Amtk}} with no loss in functionality, but there seems little purpose in having multiple ways to wrap the same template, especially when that template can also simply be called directly. There are fifteen transclusions in total, and about half of them are because the template is discussed in various bits of template documentation. This name would also seem a good candidate for an Amtrak navigational template, which we don't currently have. Mackensen (talk) 16:36, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Subst and delete per nom.--Tom (LT) (talk) 10:01, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per my rationale at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2014 July 29. Having a clickable map's code on a separate page is a good way to prevent unintentional damage. It could very easily be edited by accident, and the detailed nature of the code means that you won't easily notice that you made a little change by accident. As a result, it's good to ensure that image maps be edited only by people who intend to edit them. Moreover, the size of this page is significantly more than the size of the page where it's transcluded; someone intending to edit the non-map part of the article would need to go more than halfway down the page, and that increases the chance that you'll unwittingly hit another key (and thus damage the page) while pressing PageDown. Agree; at the time I made them I thought they would be featured on more then 1 page (for example on Kiev City Council).... but this did not happen and local elections have taken place in Kyiv since 2008 anyway.... — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 22:40, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

...Well, in response, I was then planning on marking these both for WP:G7 speedy deletion, but both of the templates have several other editors who have edited them over the years, so IMO, the speedy deletions would not be valid. The result of the discussion was delete. The objections are not really valid. Keeping code a table in a separate template just so that it can be edited separately is not a valid reason for a template. A template is supposed to be reusable. There is no reason to reuse this thus no reason for a template. (non-admin closure) Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 17:24, 19 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Pew2002 and Template:Pew2007 have 0 transclusions. They both seem superseded by Template:Pew2013, which has only one transclusion. The information in Template:Pew2013 would probably be best as a substituted chart in the article which it is located, and can be updated whenever the newest year of information changes in the future. Delete Template:Pew2002 and Template:Pew2007. Substitute and delete Template:Pew2013. Steel1943 (talk) 03:51, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Subst 2013 and Delete all three - per nom. Despite the names, the templates only relate to views on homosexuality, in 2002, 2007 and 2013. The 2013 template is used once and supersedes the other two. As noted, a substituted table could readily be updated as required. Nigej (talk) 13:32, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was convert to SVG. (non-admin closure) Hhkohh (talk) 07:42, 27 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

One transclusion. The code can safely remain in the article which it is transcluded. The template namespace is primarily intended for templates intended to be used multiple times and/or substituted on multiple occasions. Substitute and delete. Steel1943 (talk) 03:43, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Is there another namespace it could be moved to then? I spent a good ten hours or so researching and putting the diagram together, creating it as a table so that source referencing would work properly, and the whole thing was immediately reverted. My experience with thoroughly researched code-intensive content being moved from a template and dumped into articles is completely the opposite of that being a "safe" procedure, in fact what usually happens is that the editors willing to delete thoroughly-referenced content with the flick of a wrist, who would not normally go to the effort to click through to a template, immediately start hacking this sort of thing away piece by piece and thereby cranking their edit counts up as soon as it's more directly deletable with less effort. I would gladly have made this an SVG image and put it on Commons, and thereby have avoided the casual deletionist problem, but then the referencing wouldn't work. --▸₷truthiousandersnatch 13:07, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No transclusions. Seems to have been superseded by Template:Costliest U.S. Atlantic hurricanes. Steel1943 (talk) 03:41, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • I guess we don't need two very similar infobox templates, but the supposed replacement is deeply flawed by not adjusting USD damage amounts to inflation. That makes the numbers incomparable. --bender235 (talk) 12:49, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Bender235: Yes, they would be incorrect considering a US government agency that happens to be the RSMC for the Atlantic posted an official inflation adjusted list that differs with the inflation template. In this case, the NHC is what we need to go with. NoahTalk 21:56, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
(Collapsed discussion moved to ensure that this discussion regarding Template:Costliest U.S. Atlantic hurricanes does not get lost here, and can continue on the most pertaining talk page if need be.) Steel1943 (talk) 22:08, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
