Linkin Park discography

[edit]

Hi. It seems like is a contradiction to have 9.6million sales and a diamond certification, but is not. Certifications are based on shipments, not sales. More, record labels pay a fee to the certifying body (RIAA, BPI), who then audit and issue any awards. Most times albums and singles are certified for more than the actual number of copies sold. The sales of post-1990 albums are tracked by Nielsen SoundScan. --Neo139 (talk) 18:02, 1 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I almost forgot, the number 9.6 million is from 2009. I couldn't find a more up to date reliable source with the sales. But still, Soundscans data get leaked (ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=3413680) often. And it's still below 10 million, is currenctly 9.897.067 as October 30, 2011.--Neo139 (talk) 18:11, 1 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Sadly I will have to leave the 9,637,000 number, because the 9.897.067 is not from a reliable source. --Neo139 (talk) 19:07, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. Good you are still around. Can you please provide a source for the sales number you modified on Linkin Park and Linkin Park discography. This are
  1. Meteora selling 16m (the source we have says it sold 11m but its and old news)
  2. The band salling 60m ablums. (I googled but couldn't find a reliable source)

I will get the numbers back the sourced numbers until we find a source. Please feel free to modify them again and cite the source.--Neo139 (talk) 18:56, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I have answered you in Talk:Linkin Park discography. Also please read WP:RS if you haven't done already. Thanks--Neo139 (talk) 20:31, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I don't understand to which edit you are referring to with this message. If it's about the Meteora's sales, I've explained it on the LP discography talk page. If it's about something else, please tell me.--Neo139 (talk) 00:31, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. The only reliable source for New Zealand certifications is the Recording Industry Association of New Zealand website. I tried to find the Gold certs for the albums sourced by radioscope inside the RIANZ website and couldn't find them. If you find the links please post them or add them back. Thanks--Neo139 (talk) 17:40, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. You were right. radioscope.net.nz is considered reliable in practice. Also it appears to be an official RIANZ website according to its article. (I don't have a source for that and WP:WINARS, but the information was added by a user who claims to be from New Zealand and WP:AGF, its enough for me). I have re-added the certs to the list.--Neo139 (talk) 18:32, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am curious as to your reason for this revert ? Mlpearc (powwow) 17:53, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Ok, let's just... talk it out, ok? I think that we can put something in the gap, but kind of a subsection in the mainframe. I think we can put it on. I also think that there should be hanging on there something. Maybe we can return it back, but without an year line...? I don't know. Let's try and will find out.

[edit]

I agree that it's repetitive but rowspans are strictly not supposed to be used due to the fact that they affect accessibility and sorting, (if a visually impaired person were to have their program read a page to them, rowspans would make it incredibly difficult for them to understand it correctly. They talk about it more here) I know that other actors and other pages have rowspans, but they shouldn't, that's why many editors, myself included, are trying very hard to reverse. Hope you see where I'm coming from :) Lady Lotus (talk) 16:45, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to inform you that someone is still not convinced and the discussion is still going on. Probably you can do something because I'm tired of arguing the same again. --Gbuvn (talk) 15:18, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

i undid them all, but HIM being convinced doesn't matter to me, it's been discussed. thanks -- hosam007 (talk) 17:42, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ewan McGregor, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Black Hawk Down (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Guilty All the Same edits

[edit]

Thanks for trying to help me out, and I really appreciate it. RazorEye is wrong for a few things he had put on the Guilty All the Same page. The BMI stuff is useless, and it doesn't work that way for a user like RazorEye. I'd really prefer the songwriting credit going to "Linkin Park" and Rakim ("William Griffin") cause they all wrote it out, just like it's described in the Behind the Scenes clip for the song itself. That user just don't get it, I know. Skylar3214 1:28, 12 April 2014

Hybrid theory and Meteora sales

[edit]

Hey i have reverted your edit for now. If you provide more reliable source for hybrid theory sales you can change it and also whenever you revert my changes and write meteora sales as 16M you provide no citation for it. So it will be better if you provide some reliable citation for it too. Linkin Park discography is a featured list and should be as exact as possible.Abhinav0908 (talk) 19:22, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! its not that i don't like that being 27M. You can make it 27M but please keep meteora at 12M and if possible find a better source if you don't its not a problem. Please find a reference for the worldwide sales of all other albums too — Preceding unsigned comment added by Abhinav0908 (talkcontribs) 19:38, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I have changed it now and i'll also try to find a reliable source for all the worldwide sales. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Abhinav0908 (talkcontribs) 19:47, 5 May 2014 (UTC) Abhinav0908 (talk) 19:48, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
