@Sanya Wadhwani: it's a common mistake to think that your user page is somewhere to write about yourself. It's for you to write about your activities on Wikipedia, not to post a profile. Generally, you should avoid substantial content on your user page that is unrelated to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a general hosting service, so your user page is not a personal website. Your user page is about you as a Wikipedian, and pages in your user space should be used as part of your efforts to contribute to the project. I started one important page on V. Balsara, a composer of Bollywood and Bengali language films. He received many prestigious awards and honours.But it has been removed by you. Draft:Hakuja no Myōjin[edit]

I don't think this draft should have been deleted as a copyright violation. Everything they copied from sacred-texts.com is in the public domain, from Smith (1918), and can alternatively be found here (a Google Books version of a 1908 publication). DanCherek (talk) 13:03, 7 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Conflicts of Interest - none.[edit]

Hello Jimfbleak. After creating the Confelicity political group page, I saw your message asking if I have any conflicts of interest. I don’t, other than living in the town where that party run their campaigns, if that counts. Same as for previous subjects - none of these were my employer nor companies I owned or people I knew.

AdamWikiPeedo, thanks. Your article was deleted because it had no independent third-party sources, and a self-reference looks promotional. It also doesn't appear to be notable, with a restricted geographical area and no successful candidates. Just standing in an election isn't notable. Draft:The Ramparts (choir)[edit]

I first saw this article when it was still in mainspace and I wanted to tag it for speedy deletion, but G11 seemed inappropriate because per WP:G11 it is meant only for blatant advertisements, and the article actually seemed reasonably neutral and encyclopaedic, while A7 seemed inappropriate because the article apparently included some coverage in reliable sources (this being of course a lower bar than notability as examined at AfD). All I could do, or so I thought, was tag it with Template:COI. This only adds an orange tag to the article, as opposed to for example Template:Copypaste which adds a red tag implying the content in question must be deleted promptly. So it was my understanding that there was no basis on which to speedy the article and it would have to be PRODed or AfDed. Un assiolo, thanks. I think there is an obvious COI and I have now done a COI-welcome on that editors page. Most of the refs were junk, but I agree that it's not a clear cut A7. I'm minded to rethink the G11, but I think I'll wait for a bit to see if there is any response from KPMN24 either about the deletion or COI. Is that acceptable to you? If you think the G11 was justified, I don't really have any objections. I probably would have taken it to AfD had it survived in mainspace. Or it would have been G13ed had it remained a draft, given that the creator is blocked. I was just curious because to me it seemed like a G11 was not justified.

Note that KPMN24 is not the creator of the article, that would be Rampartschoir. KPMN24 is probably a sock meant to conceal the COI, see my SPI report. --Un assiolo (talk) 12:51, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This page was created back in 2019 and was reviewed short thereafter. There seemed to be quite a few contributors as well, not just one or two. I was reading the page when you deleted it. Deleted Page on William E. Paterson[edit]

Hi Jimfbleak, you recently deleted a page that I was creating for a former professor of mine, William E. Paterson. He sent me the text to create a page for him. Unfortunately, that text was very similar or the same as the one that Aston University in the UK used on its page for him. It was deleted for copyright reasons.
