Citing TikTok?

Hi, just wanted to pick your brains on whether or not to add a candidate (Malachy Steenson) to 2024 European Parliament election in Ireland, with a tiktok video as reference. I know WP:USERGENERATED advises against it, but per WP:SOCIALMEDIA it might be alright because it's published by Malachy Steenson himself. Hi @Boardwalk.Koi: I had a look at WP:SOCIALMEDIA. and my reading is that its ok to use it as a reference. I don't know about the reliability of the europeanconservative.com website. I have no objections to Malachy Steenson been added. It would be nice to a mainstream media reference but that won't probably happen for a while; or until closer to the election date. hi! I know this discussion is long over but I just wanted to add that I have seen in other pages (specifically Clacton) that before the declaration period closed, the Labour candidate was cited using a Labour Party tweet (it was removed once the finalized poll sheet was released by the gov), so I feel like tiktok would be a fine source. @Lough Swilly: I'm afraid I don't know what you mean. You should see an "Upload new version of the file" link on screen. Are you logged in on WikiCommons? Do you have permissions there to do this? MEPs terms

I'd have thought an MEPs term ends when they're voted out at an election and lose their seat. That's how it works in most national parliaments, whereby their term ends either when parliament is dissolved or they're voted out.

However, you say that in the European Parliament, they continue to work as MEPs until the next parliament begins. Could you verify it with a source? I haven't been able to find any. I'm sure you haven't made it up, but to me it seems odd to still be calling them MEPs even tho they've been voted out, have lost their seat and parliament is no longer sitting.

I'm not sure if you're suggesting you intend to block me but you have again reverted or editted part of a previous edit by myself. I'm a patient person. Another editor said to me and I quote: "I don't know what to do about Spleodrach." Read into that what you will. Also you tend to ignore criticism and just get angry. I inserted a fact, repeat a fact, you claimed it was irrelevant. Its not, its a fact, facts are relevant as they add to information available such as an online encyclopedia. Deletion of them is silly. Your decision is your own interpretation and is potentially biased. Like a biased estimator in econometrics or statistics. Accordingly I won't accept you overruling/reverting me or inserting silly material like Kiss whether it refers to the former Rock bank etc without appealing to a higher authority. Kappish? @Devite: A number of things, 1) I can't block you (nor do I want to), I'm not an admin. 2) You don't seem like a patient person given your recent interactions with other editors on Frank Aiken's page. 3) Another editor said to me and I quote: "I don't know what to do about Spleodrach." - Better to be talked about than not I suppose! 4) I do not ignore valid criticism and I never get angry. 5) Yes, the fact who chaired a local FF meeting is not relevant unless you were there or are a member of FF. 6) "Your decision is your own interpretation and is potentially biased. Like a biased estimator in econometrics or statistics." - Right back at you, when I make an edit its biased, when you make an edit, its not biased. I don't think so! 7) My KISS statement in the comment was a humourous aside, it means Keep It Short and Simple (or Sweet), and had nothing to do with a band. 8) No, I don't really "kappish" your rambling long winded statements.
