[edit]MfD nomination of Template:User hip hop music sucks

Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Template:User hip hop music sucks and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Template:User hip hop music sucks during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. CSD
[edit]Hi. Why have you placed a CSD notice on my user page? Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 10:22, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Kudpung: I didn’t. I placed a request to delete a page in my own userspace that you must have been linking to. It never occurred to me that anyone else would have been using that! I’m very sorry for the inconvenience. If it was what I think it was — I requested more than one own-userspace deletion — just change your link to this page:
{{User:SpikeToronto/Footer1}}
(the current redirect at{{User:SpikeToronto/Footer3}}
will be deleted in a few days). That should fix things for you. Let me know how you make out. Thanks! — SpikeToronto 11:39, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
- It's ok. My page notice was full protected. I got an admin to fix it. There is no reason I would have been linking to your page notice template. For some reason you transcluded the template. No harm done. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 11:48, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Kudpung: First, I want to thank you for your original post here. It taught me a lesson: Before I request a deletion in my own userspace, I still need to check what links to it first and not assume nothing does. Second, the pages deleted had no transclusions in them, so your other comment confuses me. (They were all essentially the same as what is now at
{{User:SpikeToronto/Footer1}}
with the only difference being the positioning of the text.) Would you mind pointing me to the page in your userspace where the deletion notice appeared, to be later replaced by a redlink? It will help me to figure this all out. Thanks! — SpikeToronto 11:58, 10 December 2021 (UTC)

- Here it is: Diff. I don't know how it got there. Maybe it was me inadvertently, but my page design is the one others usually copy, not the other way round ;) Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 12:20, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Kudpung! Here’s when it became a part of your wikiworld: Special:Diff/394117427. I notice that when it was last active, it was overlaying some of your top icons. Because I only use it on my
talk pagearchive pages, and because I have no top icons onthatthosepagepages, I don’t have that problem. However, if you want to keep using it, just copy{{User:SpikeToronto/Footer1}}
to your user space at, say,{{User:Kudpung/Footer1}}
, and then just adjust the positioning of it in your userspace. If the positioning requirements differ between your user page and your talkpage, then just create one in your userspace and another in your user talkspace. Have fun! (He says knowing how tedious this can be. ;) ) — SpikeToronto 12:58, 10 December 2021 (UTC)- Hmm.. interesting archeolgy! I didn't connect it with that 'skip to bottom' thing. I won't bother. Not many people visit my pages nowadays anyway. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 13:14, 10 December 2021 (UTC)

Vivian Vance
[edit]Hello! Back in July 2018 you put a template on Vivian Vance that asked for additional citations for verification. I’m wondering if we can remove that now, seems to be well cited now. Wanted to check with you first prior to removing! Elvisisalive95 (talk) 21:38, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Elvisisalive95! It's very good of you to follow up with me about that tag I placed on that article six years ago. However, you can just apply your own judgement in this matter (i.e., "go for it!" (per WP:BOLD)). Thanks! — SpikeToronto 23:19, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you @SpikeToronto ! I appreciate the answer & i’ll remember that for like-situations going forward! Here’s a freshly baked cookie! Elvisisalive95 (talk) 00:51, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the cookie, @Elvisisalive95! But, if anyone deserves a cookie it's you for all your work rescuing under-referenced articles. Adding verifiable, reliable sources to articles is hard work, and one of the key tasks here at Wikipedia. Thank you. — SpikeToronto 02:04, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
