Mees Röttgering (born 7 July 2007) is a Dutch tennis player. He has a career high ranking of 886 achieved on 20 May 2024.[1]

Career

From Limburg, he is trained by Jochem Mol. He reached the semi finals of the senior Dutch Chmpionships in 2023 as a 16 year-old, where he was defeated by Gijs Brouwer.[2] He reached the semi-finals in the boys' singles of the 2024 Australian Open, and a futures final in Sharm El Sheikh in February 2024 to become the only 16 year-old inside the top 1000 male rankings.[3] In doing so, he became the youngest Dutch man ever to reach a singles final on the ITF World Tennis Tour.[4]

He reached the final of the boys singles at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships with a win over top seed and junior French Open champion Kaylan Bigun in the quarter final,[5] and a straight sets win over Théo Papamalamis of France in the semi final.[6] In the final he faced Nicolai Budkov Kjaer, losing in straight sets.[7]
