- Comment: COI: the article's creator says so on their user page, and is also the creator of the company logo. Hoary (talk) 12:38, 6 November 2024 (UTC) The draft's creator has clarified matters. They're not the creator of the company logo; they're instead an employee of the company that created it and that is the subject of this article. -- Hoary (talk) 05:37, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: Concur with the previous comment about WP:NCORP but also want to note that the article is littered with WP:CORPTRIV and business jargon that makes it very difficult to evaluate which of its 90 sources have anything in-depth to say about the company. Has a bit of a WP:COMMERCIAL tenor. VRXCES (talk) 11:45, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: I am dubious about the article's passing of WP:NCORP, I would appreciate it if you gave the best 3 sources you believe indicate it does. Many of them are just minor announcements. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 17:59, 2 October 2024 (UTC)

Gamezop is a plug-and-play gaming platform that allows apps and websites to integrate casual games directly into their platforms without requiring users to download individual apps for each game.Founded in 2015 by brothers Yashash Agarwal and Gaurav Agarwal, the company is headquartered in Gurugram, India. Gamezop has expanded its offerings to include Quizzop, a quiz platform; Astrozop, which provides astrology content; and Criczop, a cricket-focused content platform.[1]
The company operates using a B2B2C distribution model, collaborating with apps and websites to distribute its products, including Gamezop and Quizzop. Partner developers receive a share of the advertising revenue generated from the users they direct to Gamezop’s platforms.[2]
As of 2023, Gamezop’s products had been integrated with over 8,000 apps and websites across 70 different countries. Notable partners include Amazon, Samsung, Tata Play, Times Internet, and AccuWeather.[2] The platform claims to help its partners grow their user engagement (through its content offerings) while generating advertising revenue.
History
editGamezop was founded in 2015 by brothers Yashash Agarwal and Gaurav Agarwal.[3] The idea for Gamezop originated from Yashash's observations about the inefficiency of downloading apps for casual gaming.[4] Gamezop addresses this by embedding HTML5 games directly into apps and websites, which allows users to play games seamlessly without needing separate app installations.[5][6]
In developing Gamezop, the company adopted HTML5 technology to ensure games could be played across different devices and platforms. Gaurav Agarwal, who had previously worked at Bain & Company, joined Yashash in building the company, contributing his experience to the company's business strategy.[7]
Since its founding, Gamezop has added other content offerings beyond HTML5 games, namely Quizzop (for online quizzes), Astrozop (for online astrology content), Newszop (for online news), and Criczop (for online cricket news).[8]
Products
editGamezop offers 250+ wide range of HTML5 casual games across various categories, including action, puzzle, sports and arcade games. Gamezop's platform is integrated into various apps and websites, providing users of those apps / websites access to its collection of online games.[9]
Quizzop is an online quiz platform featuring quizzes across multiple categories, including general knowledge, entertainment, sports, and science. Astrozop offers astrology services including horoscopes, love compatibility, fortune-cookie readings, and tarot readings. Like Gamezop and Quizzop, Astrozop is also available as a plug-and-play integration to apps and websites.[1] Newszop is a plug-and-play solution that can be integrated within apps and websites as a news centre. It offers verified, real-time news and trending stories from trusted sources.[10] Criczop launched in 2023, this platform provides live cricket scores, matches, commentary, latest news & trending content related to cricket.
Partnerships
editGamezop has partnered with over 8,000 apps and websites across 70 different countries. Some notable partners include Amazon, Samsung, Snapdeal, Paytm, Tata Play, Microsoft Start, and AccuWeather. Through these partnerships, Gamezop reports that it helps its partners increase user engagement while monetizing traffic through in-game advertisements.[11][12][13]
In 2022, Gamezop significantly expanded its footprint in the OTT and digital ecosystem through strategic partnerships with various major platforms. It teamed up with Tata Play to bring casual gaming to Tata Play Binge, enabling users to access games without additional downloads.[14] Additionally, Gamezop collaborated with SonyLiv, EPIC ON, Hoichoi, and other OTT platforms to broaden its reach within the industry.[15]
In 2023, Gamezop partnered with Taboola to enhance ad monetization and engagement across its platforms, including Quizzop, serving its 45 million monthly active users.[16][17]
In 2024, Gamezop was nominated by Google to be a Google Certified Publishing Partner (GCPP). As a GCPP, Gamezop is authorized to extend and resell Google Ad Manager and Google Ad Exchange services to app and web developers.[18]
Growth, Expansion, and Funding
editGamezop was established in 2015.[19] In 2016, Gamezop raised $350K in seed funding led by talent-management agency Kwan (now known as Collective Artists Network), with participation from early-stage VC funds Powerhouse Ventures, Tracxn Labs, and AECAL. The funding round also saw participation from notable angels such as Anand Chandrasekaran, redBus co-founder Phanindra Sama, and Bollywood actor Rana Daggubati.[20]
In 2018, Gamezop reported over 1.5 million daily users.[21] That same year, the company stated that revenue from outside India doubled, accounting for 50% of its total revenue, and generated ₹25 crore in revenue with 25% profit margins, projecting to double this figure in the following financial year.
In 2020, Gamezop raised ₹32 crores in a Series A funding round led by BITKRAFT Ventures, further accelerating its growth and expansion.[22] The funding round also saw participation from Velo Partners, and FJ Labs. By then, Gamezop was integrated within 2,800 products, reaching over 25 million monthly users. Gamezop claims that 97% of smartphone users in India have at least 2 apps within which Gamezop's games are integrated.[23] The company reported an annual revenue run rate of ₹21 crore (approximately $2.8 million) in 2020, reflecting a 165% year-on-year growth.
In 2022, Gamezop reported reaching over 40 million monthly active users.[24]
