Welcome to the Saskatchewan Roads WikiProject.

Scope

edit

Our purpose is to organize all the Saskatchewan roads & highways. They don't seem to get enough attention. It is simple. You create stubs, expand, then use templates and graphics.

Structure

edit

Goals

edit

Our goal right now is to create articles related to the Saskatchewan highway network. To make these goals easier to accomplish, this page is divided into phases.

Phases of Project

edit

We are currently in Phase 1 of the project. Please consult the tasks section to see your list of duties.

  1. Stub Creation, 1 paragraph or less is fine. Don't forget to add stub templates!
  2. Stub Expansion, add some details, a few more sentences to a whole paragraph.
  3. Further Review, expansion, add a paragraph or two.
  4. Final expansion, Images and templates to spruce article up.
  5. Patrol.

Tasks

edit

Contest Department

edit

Similar to the Collaboration of the week, but on a smaller scale, you might want to "adopt" an article. This would involve doing the research, writing, and picture-taking (if possible) for either a non-existent article or a stub. Of course, everyone else can still edit an adopted article, and you can work on other things too, but the idea is to find a focus for a while, to try and build up the number of quality articles the Project has produced.

You may want to enter the ongoing contest to earn awards!!

Current Focus: Please improve these primary highway articles to good and feature article status. Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Canada_Roads/Saskatchewan#NotabilityHigh Importance and most notable articles listed here as they have the most notability in Saskatchewan.

Showcase selected highway articles

edit

Portal Saskatchewan Selected Highway has been established to showcase the finer Saskatchewan highway articles. Instructions for Portal additions. As an article is adopted, please add highways of better quality to this section. It would be awesome, if all articles at some time would be feature class or Good Status articles.

Article Content Considerations

edit

Canadian Highway notability guidelines Talk

Try to add these sections to an article: If a road/highway may contain appropriate information but has not been developed add under that section heading: {{Template:Sectstub}} If no information is available delete the section heading.

  1. To contribute or to know which Highways, or Roads to adopt click on the list of highways or list of roads, and any article that has a red link should be adopted or added please.
  2. Add this substitution template... {{subst:Saskatchewan Highways}} into your article page and save.' This template was created with help from standards set by several WikiProjects and WikiProject Biography Just follow these 11 easy steps to producing at least a B article

This {{subst:SK Highways Template}} will also have several variations óf the template to add a 'highway shield to junction boxes and to infoboxes.

  1. Fill in the sections for your chosen Saskatchewan Highway and save.
  2. Add the appropriate WP templates and ratings to the talk page.

Infoboxes

edit
  • e.g.{{Infobox projectname}}

{{Infobox projectname }}

  • Use Infobox road infobox template for your new article creations. See an example in use at Highway 19 There are instructions for how to fill in the fields at Infobox road

There is a new template being used for example Saskatchewan Highway 914:

Route information

Major junctions
South end  Highway 165
North endRoad ends at Key Lake Mine
