==School Historyhistory==
Cordova High School opened in 1963. Before the campus opened, high school students from Rancho Cordova were daily bussed to Folsom High School at 715 Riley Street in Folsom. Cordova High was constructed in phases with various building being completed over a several year period. The original "A" Wing building was demolished in 2014 and replaced with a new theater building complex which opened in 2015. Lights were added to the Cordova High stadium in 2000 and artificial turf in 2003.

Students only attended Cordova High for sophomore, junior and senior years when the school opened. Freshmen students remained at Mills Junior High School or W.E. Mitchell Junior High School. The junior high schools were reclassified as middle schools in 1993 so the freshman class was relocated to Cordova High.
